PA had a heck of a year this year, especially since the Habs were paying him twice as much as the Leafs were |

Dog days of summer. - stormeyAlterEgo
yeah you're right..
We are all so amped to get Matthews and to see what next years team will look like.
I just want it to happen.. somehow talking about it has become boring.. Or talking about Laine.. we know its just other fan bases jealous ranting and trying to bring us down |

Our biggest fear, apparently, is having the first overall pick. Between the uncertainty and the associated anxiety, we're all in quite the pickle these days... - lumlums
Little uncertainty about the first pick. Tough period will be July and August waiting for the World Cup and regular season for Leaf fans. |

I already sent a note and a ban to one poster, thinking you can insult people then add a emoticon afterwords thinking it is okay is not acceptable.
NO MORE INSULTS PEOPLE, hope the caps gets the point across. - LeafMan
Good..
probably one of my biggest pet peeves..
Just add 10 laughy emoticons to validate you're opinion bud..
not buying it. |

I get it. We could always go sign another Hunwick to do those duties.
That said, I don't think we have really seen enough of Harrington to know one way or the other. I liked his play better than Marincin's this past season, in the little bit we saw - WingmanWillie

Uhh.. see ya in 2017 Sosh - Arctic_AARDVARK
The Overdrive guys mentioned this. We might not be seeing 6-7 rookie forwards as we first thought.
Could be as little as 3-4. Obviously the big guns (Marner, Matthews, Nylander) and then maybe one more spot, with Brown, Sosh, Hyman competing for it |

If Bernier has a good season next year it'll be hilarious. |

July 1st: sign Stamkos.
Then we have to wait until July 15th for more Leafs news, when we sign Vesey.
Late August will also be interesting, when PK Subban informs the Habs he will sit out the season unless they trade him to Toronto. |

I expect him to be much better.

I enjoy people slotting him into #2. If he's there and Bernier is still in net, HELLO top 3 pick 2017! |

Won't take much for him to be much better but yeah, I won't be all that surprised if he plays well. He had major confidence issues last years. Goalies can be weird like that. |

A few of us didn't think we'd see 7 or so rookies.
Some think it'll be a longer rebuild with the likes of Bozak, Greening, Michalek, Laich, PAP, Lupul still taking up roster spots |

I just read the sportsnet article … sure sounds like PAP is plan B. If they can’t see their priority UFA targets, PAP will be back. |

One word of caution to Leafs Nation:
Sosh, Hyman, Brown, etc. may not be nearly as good as we thought they were from watching them play garbage minutes at the end of last season.
I fear the positive impressions they made on us (myself included) had more to do with hustling for a dead cause than actually demonstrating NHL talent.
I'm hoping for the best, but we do need to be careful here. |

Really?
Why?
We aren't going to win the Stanley Cup next year.
I'd much rather see a guy with a future get the ice time than a complete placeholder like PA franking Parenteau. |

I still think of Carrick as a rookie.. And Maybe even Zaits..
im not so worried about Hyman and Sosh atm.. they can stay in the A.. but i really hope Brown makes it. |
