You even suck at trolling, arguably the easiest thing to do online.

Harrington sucks.

The jury is still out on Kapanen.

And if they get lucky the 29th or 30th pick may be decent and/or used to move up in the draft.

In general, I am OK with the Shanaplan, hope it works, but I think we got fleeced on both Kessel deals, and I appreciate how good Kessel was for this team.

Hypothetically, if Matthews can be as good as Sundin and Marner can be as good as Mogilny ( both long shots), then we might have enough of a core to get back to being at least a contender as we were in those days.

Or similarly Matthews as good as Gilmour and Marner as effective as Wendel Clark

I don't get why so many Leafs fans want the Leafs to constantly fail

I think the best part about this rebuild is that the new guys they are drafting are going to be their own entities, and this will be a new defining era for the club. The new logo, new-look Leafs will be an era that fans talk about decades down the line, much as we do with the Gilmour and Sundin-led teams.

Matthews, Marner, Rielly

Core pieces that the next generation is going to fondly look back on. It's pretty exciting

You basing that on his 15 NHL games? Or his 17 AHL games?

Just curious. Pretty strong statement there. I'd say the jury is out on both of them

- WingmanWillie

He's 23 years old.

He's had a cup of coffee in the NHL where he was completely invisible (and not in the "if you don't notice him he had a good game" kinda invisible).

I'm the first guy to scream "foul" when Leafs Nation rushes its prospects, but at one point do you decide to move on?

He's going to be coming back from whatever injury he had - which more often than not means a slow start.

So this summer you are going to have to offer a contract to an RFA who hasn't proven yet that he's even capable of being a fulltime NHLer, knowing that he probably won't be an NHLer this season.

In light of the fact that we already have guys in the same boat as him who are younger and cheaper, why do we still want this guy?

IMHO, he's never going to be more than a 3rd pairing guy. You can get those guys at Walmart.

Harsh, I know. But this is a business.

Maple Leafs Syndrome..

They are so used to being abused that they don't feel right not being abused.

I get it. We could always go sign another Hunwick to do those duties.

That said, I don't think we have really seen enough of Harrington to know one way or the other. I liked his play better than Marincin's this past season, in the little bit we saw

At some point Leafs fans will have to realize that, not only will very few of the Leafs prospects become impact players, but a lot of them will never even have more than a cup of coffee in the NHL.

The positive side is that the organization is actually in a state now where they have to walk away from some prospects, maybe even some that people think will pan out one day.

The Leafs have 5 or 6 prospects who will be full time NHLers..

Its not like MTL with maybe 2..

Yes, I agree it will take some getting used to. Having prospect depth is foreign

That said, it would be different if it was, say, Leivo where we have 3-4 other guys ahead of him on the depth chart. Leafs are paper thin on the blueline

We need to start trading some of these prospects.

Percy/levio/harrigton’s trade values are already in the pits. Can’t keep letting that happen.

If the salary cap goes down, there should be lots of good buy-low opportunities.

I already sent a note and a ban to one poster, thinking you can insult people then add a emoticon afterwords thinking it is okay is not acceptable.

NO MORE INSULTS PEOPLE, hope the caps gets the point across.

New topic: Leafs have begun preliminary talks with PA Parenteau.

Everyone's projected lineups just got blown up. Discuss.

I thought he'd be back. He's the new Daniel Winnik, except we can't trade him.

We're all traumatized. The subsequent PTSD will be unbearable for many years after June 24, 2016.
