So goddamn negative Brian...

I try to block out most of the Rangers 1998-04 years, sorry if I forgot how great Petr Nedved & his chums were.

I think if Miller can solidify a top 6 spot. Hopefully Buchnevich could be a starting surprise on opening night(3rd line). Staal & especially G get healthy and come back strong next year. I think it will be fine with some minor moves. Hayes needs to be way better than last year, and better than his rookie year. Kreider needs to play a full season. Also like many have said, for gods sake break up Zucc & Brass, the magic is gone.

I can see Staal getting traded. I know the odds are slim he will waive his rights, to leave here, but something tells me he could be traded mid-summer.

I remember those years to remind myself that even a year like this is infinitely better than anything we endured during that dark, dark era of Rangers hockey.

Funny thing was I went to more games in that era than I ever have since, younger w no family & could get tix cheaper obviously. Saw an average of at least 5/6 games a yr back then between the Garden & Coliseum which was a lot for me. I have been to a total of 5 games since 2005.

Didn't go to a game this season, went to one or two last season, maybe one or two games more than that the 13-14 season.

Thanks to my wife's connections I was able to go for free. The last time I actually paid for a ticket was the ECFs Game 2 against Jersey. Never had so much buyer's remorse for anything, in my entire life, and I would say something funny about this but my brain is not working right.

I think so, a little bit ago, but that doesn't change the dynamic I have with the boys on here.

I'll just be more tanned when I converse with all of you, nothing else will change, hahaha.

I see talk of blowing up everything and tanking...

Sounds like fun, let me know what pieces you are willing to trade away for pennies on the dollar. We will need new players during our usual "trade Malkin for assets" arguments to replace his cap space.

edit: and before any trolling accusations... nope. Win or lose the Stanley Cup, the Pens fanbase on here will not be satisfied with the team, and want to "improve" it more, and chase out big money players for youth and such.

It would have to be pennies on the dollar as of now if the cap stays the same the pens are over by a million

Honestly, just blow it up and start over. do like islanders, oilers, and penguins did... tank for several years, we can use the penguins here as the example - starting in 2002...Ryan Whitney...number 5
2003 Fleury number 1
2004 Malkin number 2
2005 Crosby number 1
2006 Jordan Staal number 2

This is what we need to do just tank...

- mattstake

It could go equally wrong, see the Oilers and what have the Isles exactly done? In 22 years they es had 18 top ten picks and 9 playoff appearances, they haven't sniffed what we've been through in the last 4-5 years

Hlavac-Nedved-Dvorak the Czechmates were a very good line, it's the fact that we lacked 3 others, McCarthy-York-Fluery was fun for a little bit too, Sandy was one of my favorites, dude had some soft mitts for a fighter

So it's a report out of Winnipeg from Gary Lawless . Karmanos three sons have filed suit against their dad for 100 mil .. Canes are in a heap of trouble . Maybe send them to Quebec and still add a team to Vegas

If I had just come out of a coma I would guess the Pens were coached by Babcock, holy "accidental interference", Kunitz does it blatantly every shift
