Most Toronto fans will hate this kid. He keeps telling everyone he is better than Mathews
- VANTEL

Why would that make people hate him? Just from watching interviews i dont like the way he comes off, he is defiently very cocky and i dont think players like that very much in a teammate. That said hes young

He probably is. If he played centre he would be 1OA 100%
- Retinalz

Doubt it. It would be more of a debate but i still doubt it, Mathews has it all

Better than what? 5 Guys?
- CanuckDon

Yes way better than five guys.
Caliburger never freezes the patties. Fries are unreal. They have beer on tap. Red truck and parallel 49. They also have bourbon milk shakes.

That was my original thinking too, but when I see the price of what it would cost to get a reliable top 4 Dman , it seems the solution is to draft one that is close to ready
- VANTEL

D are at a premium right now and they weren't 5 years ago. Point being that in 5 years acquiring scoring may be more difficult to obtain than D as it's always changing. They need to draft a forward as they need a first line scorer above all else. And that just happens to be BPA available

According to the scouting reports, the big knock on Tkachuk is his skating. The Canucks have already been bitten in the ass from this, Prust and Higgins. Bennng is a fan of guys who can skate with NHL speed.
- LeftCoaster

This is an overrated concern. The kid had a sprained ankle and still dominated the Memorial Cup. In his interviews he said his entire summer will be dedicated to his first 3 strides. He is going to be a great player and I'd be ecstatic if we drafted him

Nice. Cool atmosphere inside. I went to the opening night. Lineup was down the street.

[quote=LeftCoaster]Are you suggesting a trade down

I think they need to explore it if you get a solid offer, and you could still end up with Juolevi or Brown.

- VanHockeyGuy

I like Sergachev the best out of all the Dmen available

The experts all had the same concern for Bo and Bo is plenty fast enough now.

Exactly. Tkachuk is a much stronger prospect than Bo

I would think Dubois will get picked 4th based on his big combine.
Chychrun and Nylander (surprisingly) were the other clear standouts.

Personally, I'd be very surprised if Tkachuk doesn't go 4th overall. I don't think the combine is going to help Dubois rise into the top 4

I don't know if would say either was surprising standout. If you look back at previous combines the higher rated players going into the draft always score high.

I think the vast majority of us want Dubois, which makes this comment understandable (I'm just guessing, unless you know something about tkachuk I don't). I'm personally pretty happy with either.

I keep hearing this or that guy moved up... I'd like to see some new projected draft lists and wouldn't be surprised if JB shocks.

look at the results. How many top tens do you see any other dman in? how about puuljaarvi or Laine? Matthews had a worse outing than either Dubois/Chychrun or nylander and is considered to have had a good combine

Benning is going to duck this up somehow. You just know he's going to do something really stupid that will make zero sense.

I expect some stories to come out of the combine changing the rankings once again, there are always a few standouts.

I don't know Scooby, drafting is really the one thing we can depend on JB to do well IMO

I'm saying he trades the pick or takes someone he could have traded down for.
