Seriously who switches teams? And who doesn't switch to a team that actually wins?

Spatso is the kind of guy who cheats on and divorces wives. Rejects his children for not being straight enough or perfect enough. Turns his back on his own mother for not being milf enough. That's the kind of guy who switches teams.

- systemtool

This. But leaves his wife trading down for a hooker with 6 kids and an abusive father.

Doing it once is another teams fanbase giving an opinion(albite a stupid one) but either way after saying the same thing over and over again it's jealousy and trolling. I find it quite amusing

I'm curious if we're allowed to troll the Sens thread since he has free reign here.

You know the Leafs will get chirped any year Laine out scores Matthews, even if Matthews is the superior player in every other facet.
- BetterCallSaul

oh ya.

you either love the Leafs or you hate them. there's no in between.

You can tell by his preoccupation with the Leafs' first overall pick that he is contemplating switching back. Can't blame him, watching the Leafs' forwards walk around Phaneuf for six years is going to be tough.
- Zezel

This is actually kind of funny. I live in a small village in Eastern Ontario and for years I have taken a serious bruising for being one of the few remaining Leaf fans in a very strong Sens environment. Most people love to chirp me over the Leafs struggles. They enjoy it too much for me to ruin their fun. So, the opposite seems to happen here and I am fine with it. But, I do ask that you remember that I really enjoy the hockey side of the discussion. I have always said Leaf fans deserve much better management than they have been given. Now that they are finally getting the leadership they deserve I really do enjoy the positive vibes coming from the fan base.

So why aren't you in the Sens thread discussin your teams pick? You haven't posted once in that thread and it's about your teams pick. So you love our pick but don't love your pick? Kind of weird.
- systemtool

Just wants to discuss the Leafs without actually being a Leaf fan. Kind of like the conservative family man who totally isn't gay but just wants to play devil's advocate around the gloryhole every day.

Ask Dozzer.

I don't get the difference in our troll game either. I'm just more honest about mine I suppose.

I have never said that they should take Laine over Matthews. What I said was they needed to do their diligent best to evaluate both players. Long term I think Matthews is the better choice. Short term however, Laine will likely burn up the league and be the easy winner of the Calder. It is about perspective.
- spatso

I find this very interesting considering he has never played a minute on NA ice in his career yet.

High End European forwards in that circumstance that joined the NHL the year after their draft are

Aleksandr Barkov 54gp 8g 16a 24p

Elias Lindholm 58gp 9g 12a 21p

Nikita Filatov 8gp 4g 0a 4p

Nicklas Backstrom 82gp 14g 55a 69p

Nikolai Zherdev 57gp 13g 21a 34p

Ilya Kovalchuk 65gp 29g 22a 51p

Nothing makes a lot of sense in this analysis. I think Laine is the best player in the draft. Imagine if he drops to 3rd. Everything about this kid screams Ovechkin. I understand the Leafs screwing up on him, they are the Leafs. I just don't believe that the Jets would miss.

It's never too late to come home. Seriously, you may as well jump ship on the Sens. After Phaneuf injuries Karlsson with a slapshot in the corner, it's going to get ugly.

Your normally a bit more sharp than this and should take a closer look at Matthews big ice time experience. A lot of his critical development experience especially over the past few years has been oriented by big ice preparedness.

It was really easy to hate the Leafs during the Burke-Phaneuf-Kessel era.

Nice to see how things are now
