I have always thought that Laine would come back into the discussion. Matthews is probably the better choice but Laine is going to be something very special and probably a big goal scorer from day one.

you kind of remind me of my mother when I was 10 - 12 years old... just because you repeat something say a hundred times... doesn't make it more likely to happen or more of a certainty.

The Leafs and Tampa have already agreed to a trade for the rights of Steve Stamkos - deal is done and ink is dry. Not sure if he will be signed then formally traded or the Leafs will have the advantage with exclusive rights to speak with Stamkos pre FA.

I find it somewhat ironic when people imply that I am saying something new or different. I have been a regular poster on the Leaf thread for 10 years. the mere fact that I have changed my team preference from Leafs to Sens does not mean that I am less interested in the fortunes of the Leafs.

Lupul may have a $5.25 cap hit but his salary is less than his cap hit.
A team looking to be above the cap floor could use him.
