I think the yotes take nylander at 7 or trade back a few spots
- homiedclown

I disagree. Everything I've read has Yotes taking a defenseman. I think Nylander goes to the Flames or he drops to us.

Jost or brown for me trade up for Tk
- GERBE!!!75PTS

Browns the last thing this team needs. We don't need anymore centers. I don't know how else to say it

Sergachyov
or
Chychrun

Prefer Nylander if he drops to us

- bluengold12

Just remember Murray has never drafted a Russian in his career so I wouldn't put any hope in sergachyov

I think a kid up front makes a bigger impact right away

I expect the yotes to overpay for d on july 1st

There nothing wrong with having centers that's a great thing to have
It's Way easier to move the center to a winger then a winger to a center

They are so stacked on forward prospects that are very good. I just don't see them drafting forward in the 1st. The Gm basically came out and said so in an article I read a few days ago. I think it's a moot point anyway because unless Calgary shocks us and picks a defenseman or reaches on Jost or Brown they'll be the ones taking Nylander.

Brown is 6'6'' and a pure bred center. I'm not risking Jost with my first pick. I think the Russian factor is over blown. If Murray interviews this kid and gets a good read on him he won't let nationality get in the way. I think Churychrun will be in the pick though. Has everything Murray generally likes in a player

Future Considerations - "A tall, lanky power forward that possesses a dangerous shot that he can get on net from anywhere on the ice. He is not afraid to use his frame to muscle his way to the net or work the boards. Possesses impressive vision and playmaking ability from the outside and has the unique blend of imposing Big Rig size with solid speed although improvement to his first two steps is required. Needs to continue to add strength to his frame and bring more consistency to his overall game. Has high-end top line NHL upside."

Sounds a lot like Girgensons scouting report. I'll pass.

Nylander or one of the top three defenseman for me.

I think they are trading up to target a player up front or taking the best d man on the board at 8

Well I'm not that enamored with Dubois and I don't think he's the kind of player Murray wants. So they're either trading up for Tkachuk or Pujarvi.

I have heard through the wind the 1st round of the draft will be very uneventful for Buffalo. I took that as we're sticking to the board at 8 and that's it. Then the second day will be very eventful.

This could change I'm sure with Murray's spontaneity but I did hear it from a reliable third party

The Russian factor is not over blown he has not signed one or drafted one that's like what a 15 year career ?

So what if brown is 6 '6 that's a good thing lol .. You don't want a center yet
Joe Pavelski Joe Thorton hertel are all on one line all centers
Then you have Malkin , Crosby

ROR, Sam both played wing

They're not drafting a center in the 1st round. I guarantee it.

What's wrong with drafting the center can you just explain it to me I mean your watching the playoffs right ? Just because you draft a center does not mean it's the end of the world you need to have options in case your regular center is struggling and you can move that person to the wing or you can have one super line
And have other options at center you can never have too many centers it's like having too many quarterbacks in the NFL

How are we deep in forward prospects I think they're more dry then the defense prospects

I get it but I don't see any player besides the three defenceman or Nylander being worthy of pick number eight. If there was a guy who was worthy of eight who played center and could play winger I'd take him but I don't see that.

Huh? Teams offloaded a contract and salary. How is that any different than the Red Wings trading a contract and salary?

We definitely have to draft a center we have no one in the system literally no one
Or left wing

The biggest need is Center or left-wing

That is true I'm just saying if he signs in Russia and they get rid of this contract I'll be pissed.
