#SidneyCrosbyCheats because when his flight gets canceled, Delta and Spirit book him a free flight the next day AND put him up in a hotel room just because of who he is.

#sidneycrosbycheats because when he walks in to walmart the automatic doors open for him because of who he is

Just read that one

The implication that he is permitted to break the rules because he’s the game’s biggest star was obvious. But Couture didn’t initially explain how. When asked, he answered: “He times them.”

Which is fascinating. Because timing a faceoff is exactly the idea.

His reasoning of "he times them" is literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard a professional hockey player say*. I'd honestly be embarrassed if I were a Sharks fan.

How's post-memorial day looking without hockey in Caps land? Pretty much the same as every year? Good to hear.
- NJPensfan

Same as it has been every year that I can recall. Do you get smack points for that?
I live in Western NY now - almost 15 years now but will be a CAPS fan forever. Season ticket money saved has been tremendous.

What that has does to do the Penguin power play or the suggestion that a fan thinks he knows more about setting lines than Mike Sullivan is pretty funny.

Do you think Caps blow it up some, or do they tweak a few things and hope for the best again next year? I would think they would love to upgrade their defense, but I don't know what they cap status is like for next year. I know they are stuck with Orpik for a while, I honestly think that the Pens just wore the Caps down in a few games.

They just need a few tweaks on defense in my opinion, other than that I think they should just stay the course.

yeah a lot of those games could have gone either way. i wouldnt take that series as an alarm for the pens. just fell on the wrong end of it. id definitely look to insert some skill on the back end, but what team wouldnt?

Would be a kick in the nads if the Caps signed Schultz in the off season...sad thing is, I could probably see it. I honestly hope he resigns here around 2.5 mil.

i think that would be a good fit for him and them honestly.

could be a mike green lite.

alzner is extremely underrated defensively. carlson is pretty good too. nisky has improved. its not as if they wont have someone more responsible to pair him with.

It's simply a question of if Scuds decides the extra couple million for 1 years is worth riding buses & staying at 2* hotels & playing in front of 8000 people a night at his age. Is he married? Kids? I don't know (really) but he might decide "screw it, I've made my money, I'm not going back to the bus instead of the plane & the 2* hotel next to the Carls Jr instead of the 4* with a hotel bar & room service" if they stash him in the minors.

But maybe he wants to play for his love of the game still & does it & even signs another AHL deal next year or someone gives him a try-out just so he can try to prolong his career a little longer.

If i'm his daughter. Daddy your riding buses next year. See you in the summer. Thanks for being a great dad and padding my trust fund with an extra 2 million

Rumors cap is staying flattish next year. If that is the case then we have cap issues especially with resigning schultz. Might force our hand on Fleury. Which I'm fine with getting little return on Fleury if it means keeping schultz long-term. I think he's an exceptional fit. He's also entering his prime. I'd also think hard about moving Daley to resign Schultz. One year versus a potential long-term replacement.

Yeah... you aren't some 4-10 year old obviously. Most kids would rather getting to spend time with their dad, not having to move again, etc, then more money.
