Stralman 1 goal, 13 points
Hagelin 17 goals, 35 points
B. Boyle 6 goals, 18 points
Total 24 goals 66 points

D. Boyle 10 goals 24 points
Hayes 14 goals, 36 points
Lindberg 13 goals 28 points
Total 37 goals 88 points

Just a little comparison of who Rangers fans complain about who was lost(stats last year with the Rangers) and who we had this past year.

And I was a huge fan of both Stralman & Hagelin.

And everyone gave me a hard time for saying Boyle > Starlman

Defensively its not even fair.
Stralman>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Boyle

But again, Boyle wasn't brought in for defense. Rangers already had 2 shutdown guys when Stralman was let go, Girardi & Staal. Hell throw Klein in there too when we got him 1/2 way through the season.

But...but...

Seriously, it's clear that Rangers fans would still find ways to complain even if they win the cup.

The first off year since Vigneault took over but now many fans think he is an awful head coach and the team is just flat out awful all around aside from Hank.

Yeah, I mean the Rangers have faults, but the Monday morning QB'ing is getting out of hand.

Every player the Rangers traded or let go via free agency and every coach that got sent packing are not missed as much as the majority of this fan base thinks.

That's the world we live in, it goes beyond sports.

Have you seen the idiots chiming in on the issue regarding the Ohio zoo taking down that gorilla?

Yup.

Saw it on the internet for about a second and figured it wasn't worth my time to read.

Does Girardi really count as a shutdown defenseman if he's shutting himself down?

I never cared about losing Boyle but Stralman is worth so much more than Dan Boyle, younger and a ton more reliable, he missed a bunch of games after that broken leg, I'll never believe differently that the culmination of moves including Stralman, Hags, Yandle both trading for and not trading at the deadline led to the decline, poor poor management

in all seriousness, I really hope that this is the final summer of the Stralman funeral

I don't think Habs fans have complained this much about losing McDonagh

It's sickening but be prepared for the Hagelin Ranger memoriam to take Stralman's place.

Vin I liked both Stralman & Hagelin. I bet if we go back to the blogs when Stralman was here I was singing his praises more than most. But do you honestly believe if we had Stralman this year and deducted Boyle, and Hagelin and deducted Lindberg, there would have been any different result?

Everyone would say Hagelin isn't worth 4 million and complaining Stralman still only has 1 goal in the last 150 games

Well minus Vin, Hagelin was his boy

they won the President's trophy without Stralman, in a season Lundqvist missed two months

they missed Hagelin among many other things this year, they missed Girardi this year even though they had him

switching gears here so RD stops typing in caps...

Back to what MM suggested and I agree with. Trading Klein in a package should really be something they look at. Never gunna have higher value than now (maybe at the TD)

Hags for sure got stone hands. He's only missed for his speed. Rangers wasn't able to replace his speed that's all... No doubt the team lost its most lethal weapon - speeeeeeed. That's f'n all
