Not really. If you had 3 job interviews, would you take the one that scheduled you at 9am before you lisrened to the other 2 companies in the afternoon?

Good point, not completely apples to apples though.

If I'm weighing 3 things, find them all fairly equal - certain different benefits at each option (not going blind into 3 interviews) - then it would tip favor a bit if pursued by one option and nothing from others.

Let's be serious, it's not like there's a lot of mystery that talking to these different teams will clear up - his contract is guided by ELC mandates, so he's not going to get much additional knowledge in speaking with teams, just be exposed to the kissing ass by all rather than one that may want to step forward a bit more.

BTW, my assumption at compensation was wrong anyways. Vesey was a 3rd round pick to begin with, so obviously compensation wouldn't be a 2nd rounder. On top of that, it appears there is ZERO compensation due to Nashville for him walking.

Nash Eichel Reinhart
Kane O'Riley Ennis
Helm Lewis Stempniak
Foligno Larsson Gionta

Fowler Ristolainen
McCabe Bogosian
Gorges Pysyk/Nelson

That's a play off roster I think

1/3 of the roster (including Nelson and his minimal time) is new. Likely much more talented (not knowledgeable on those 3rd line guys), so it should be obvious the team would be better, but may still take a year to break through.

Overall though -

I think this could be a very realistic option if Murray wanted it....

Fowler for our 2nd and Borgen
Nash for a 3rd and Girgensons

Lewis and Eichel are good friends and played together in worlds last year. Stempniak a local boy who comes home for a chance at the playoffs. Helm may be too much of a fantasy to add but would be an awesome addition none the less

I don't post trades because I don't ever want to overvalue someone, and I try not to make fun of anyone who does post trades (because it provides conversation).

That said, I've seen Rangers posters bring up Foligno before in their thread, and I'd think he may be more valuable than Girgensons (they mentioned Foligno's physicality and how he stands out when the teams play each other).

BTW, new blog.
