Which my suggestions did in the form of adding two top four d-men at the cost of just Pouliot and Yak and didn't involve moving RNH or Eberle.

Yes the adding of Vatanen and Demers would certainly help.
I think more will have to be done to make this club competitive however. I'd like to see another quality defender brought in (Spurgeon, Brodin, Trouba) and I don't think that gets done without dealing the 4th and probably Eberle.
I'm probably gonna catch a lot of flak for this, but at this point I'd rather keep Pouliot over Eberle as well. Eberle is certainly the better scorer but I think Pouliot is the better 2 way winger.

3) Move pick number 4, 83 and 90 to Arizona for pick number 7 and 20. Then use said picks to draft Logan Brown and Dante Fabbro.

I prob wouldn't even bother with 3) and if I did I prob would take a top D over Brown.

I'd rather have Barrie over Vatanen but I think scoring Demers as the 2nd pairing RHD would be gold.

With expansion and renewing contracts looming I'd prob rather use Ebs in a deal to acquire a D than the 4OA.

You take the Fin. No brainer. Puj has speed, size and elite skill. If Columbus is dumb enough to pass on him then Edm goes with the big winger. I don't see it though. Arizona and Toronto have interest in Tkachuk but I don't see that being enough to get a trade done. Chiarelli has made it clear that drafting a dman doesn't do anything to improve the team for years. He needs to improve the blue line now. That is the whole reason for shopping the pick. If he can get something for trading down far enough that a dman makes sense... sure. Still smart money is on him picking the best available at number 4.

RNH has value. Being added to Team Canada helps. We won't get much for Yak, not what he is worth but if he wants to go then we need to. I like the idea if the trade is there but I can't see who has a top Dman that would do this. I am also a little wary about going with just Connor and Leon as the top 2 centers.
