Yeah, Bear, Jones, and Paigin are all showing good signs early, but it remains to be seen if they can build on it. I hope they're aiming to restock the cupboards of forwards with skill cause we'll need to develop some quality guys who can step in when the cap becomes a problem. Assuming we don't trade pick in some maneuver, coming out of the draft with a group including one of Dubois or Tkachuck at 4, one of Johansen, Bastian, or Steel at 32, and a couple of Sambrook, Allard, Gregor, Kuokkanen, Green, or Mete in the 3rd round. Pursue the skill and ability that can skate and some of them will find their way.

Disagree. I don't think we're quite that far away, but there are certainly some steps needed. A couple legit top-4 Dmen would go a VERY long way to fixing the backend and those can be acquired without murdering our forward depth. One of Nuge or Eberle, our 2017 1st, and maybe one of Reinhart or Nurse (depending on the level of acquisition) should get us two quality guys. Might only need to move for one if Demers can be had for less than 5.5mil.

Yes, but the focus is more on current RHD. I'd love to have one of Fabbro or McAvoy in the teens. Maybe Arizona would part with #20, Stone, and something else for #4 to draft Tkachuck. Something like that.
