Still, there is no reason to be so close to the cap with such a poopty roster, with having Pacioretty and Price signed to cheap deals

I think trading as the Leafs or Habs GM is harder. If you (frank) up its utter humiliation and you aren't going to get a job anywhere else ever again. Your mistakes are magnified.

He did start off well and made some good moves (ie. Weise) but they all seem to address the periphery of the team and didn't make any major moves to shake up the core of the team.

Therrien lost the team years ago its really a wonder why he's still around
