- _nay_

25m tied up in 4 d.

That's 35% of the cap in 4 (frank)ing d men.

MB is a dumb-dumb..

This site talks about 11 millions : http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/MTL?year=2017. Not much better after they sign those guys, I guess.

$850K 1-way to Andrighetto
$1M to Barberio
$1.1M to Danault
$850K 2-way to Carr

Others will stay in St.Johns so whatever

If they find a way to unload Emelin, it starts to get interesting.

Edit:

$3.5M to Weise with full NMC

DD-Eller are 2 contracts that should be unloaded before Emelin.

We have like 4 3rd line centers that can do the job at 1M.

Emelin, Eller, Subban, Plek.....all overpaid

DD as well.

Bergevin will have to make a few trades or go with some buyouts.

Yeah. Thought it might be easier to unload Emelin, but yeah, might be a taker for Eller.

Eller, a poopty prospect and a pick for Yakupov

DD in his last year is going nowhere, and Eller was dangled at the trade deadline and nobody wanted him.

If MB has to start buying out his own contracts, that don't look so good..

The fact it's his last year is the reason why it would be possible to move him.

the only way Desharnais is traded is if it's for someone like David Clarkson, or if the Habs send a decent prospect along with him.

Who cares what it looks like? Staying with a failed experiment to save face is a joke. If he were to buy him out and get someone else on the roster that helps them perform it would be easily forgotten that he needed to buy out a contract he offered.

This loyalty crap is only good to an extent, time to light some fires under these guys by setting examples. Eller should be the first to go since DD only has one more year but if they can manage to get rid of both, buyouts or otherwise, I'd say its time.
