If Edmonton is looking for a d-man, they are looking for one now, not a #12 pick in this years draft. They would want Ceci, or Chabot.

You guys think that Fil Kessel's playoff run has made other GMs think differently about Bobby Ryan - a big ticket scorer with some huge holes in their game and past their prime, but also when put in the right situation gives your team a counter punch line that other teams can't match up with?

I think Kessel is using Ryan's value. Not the same player, but very similar types of thinking. If Pitt did the trade, someone will trade for Ryan.

Also to lose out on Hagelin like that. What a shame, always been a huge fan. We could of had him for nothing.

We did a similar trade for Ryan. I would imagine his value has diminished a bit. As for Brown, if he's there I'd take him, but I'd prefer Jost. Might have played Jr. A but it's the best Jr. A league in Canada and on the best team. Just has gamer written all over him. I really hope they sign Hoffman and any trade we make with him won't be equal value. Keep him and deal with his deficiencies as a player. His goal scoring is unmatched on this team, despite the cold streaks.
