he's a decent plugger

much better then some of the guys you mentioned

plus I am not sure deslaurers is here in the fall

- homiedclown

I don't like that he has a hit of 2.2 million for two more years. If we sign him I'd want Foligno and Girgensons gone. I'd prefer it be Larsson and Gionta but they just signed the former and won't trade the latter.

Also, Daly reiterated that first and second-year professional players are “exempt and don’t need to be protected.” When asked whether that meant a player entering his third season would also be exempt, such as a William Nylander for instance, Daly did not answer.
The truth is that it is likely a nuanced topic with many layers and clauses.
“There is a specific procedure and definition with respect to how you qualify professional players,” Daly said. “But I’m not in a position to say more.”

just an fyi:

Agent: Bills RT Seantrel Henderson cleared to play after two surgeries, back in town Thursday

After missing the final five games of last season through a brutal bout with Crohn's disease, Henderson underwent two surgeries to remove all infected areas and reattach his intestines. The most recent surgery was about a month ago. The Bills' medical staff, Herman assured, does know that Henderson has been recovering in Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic and that it's been the tackle's plan to report back to Buffalo June 1 all along.

- Michael Pachla

Yeah, the initial report was blown way out of proportion. Rex even said Henderson had been here, just that he personally didn't talk to him, and that he said the medical staff had been in contact the whole time. Just looks like a case of people making mountains out of molehills. Although they haven't earned much benefit of the doubt lately.

(frank)in brutal. My OS got corrupted somehow. Probably all those sketchy links watching Sabres games before I found the Reddit and got YT links. I just lost ~70% of my data. I was able to copy all my passwords and really good porn thank God. But only about ~25% of my pictures, and almost none of my 70+ GB of music

sens, wild, ducks, kings, st louis, flames

expect a trade with 2 of these teams

- homiedclown

Couple of players from each team I could see us going for

Wild: Scandella, Brodin, Nino Niederreiter
Sens: Hoffman, Wiercioch
Ducks: Fowler, Vatanen, Perry (Yeah right), Ritchie
Kings: Muzzin, Brown (package with Muzzin), Pearson
Blues: Shattenkirk, Gunnarsson, Rattie
Flames: Bouma, Jokipakka

Bogo was only with Risto for a small portion of the season. 80% of the season or more he was with Gorges
- bluengold12

Correct - Ristolainen/Gorges for all but 6 games this past season.

I wonder if its possible to move up and still keep #8? Using that thought you have the Sabres drafting lets say 4th and 8th..get a winger for Eich (Tkachuk) and a dman for Risto ( Chychrun?)...

I would be giving up next years 1st plus more obviously...maybe Pysyk/Bogo or picks

1

2-3

4-5

6-12

That's the breakdown IMO.

1 truly stands above the rest

Both Fins are going to be good-great

4-5 are below the Fins but are pretty damn good in their own mind. It might just be 4 standing alone in Thakhuk. His play in the playoffs gave his stock a huge jump. I want the Sabres to trade up for him. A kid that plays his best when the stakes are the highest is something I am all about.

6-12 is a crap shoot. All are interchangeable

Personally Nylander because of his genetics

But like I said I think Thakhuk could be standing there all alone at 4 and 5-12 could be all interchangeable.

You like Nylander over DuBois?

Genetics would suggest Markus would be doing more for us, wouldn't it??

Do I like Nylander more? No but I think scouts will. They love the whole genetics thing.

Personally I want to draft Chychurn.

My own rankings

Mathews
Fin 1 Laine
Fin 2 guy I cant spell
Thahkuk (cant spell)
Chychurn (still cant spell)
DuBois
Nylander

He mentioned it as a possibility, not that it was for certain it was going to happen

Interestingly enough if you packaged all 3 you might get something back that doesn't stink
