It was just a few months ago when you were telling people they didn't have the stomach for a rebuild. Now, you're projecting an 18 year old to make our lineup when all signs show that it's unlikely. Face it, we fell out of the top 3.

You really want this team to be a contender next year but the truth is no matter who they sign there is still a bunch of bumpy road ahead, unless some kind of miracle takes place.

We're at the bottom, there really aren't any shortcuts. Our AHL team is void of NHL talent in top 6, top pairing capacity. This hurt us when we had a contender, it's really going to hurt now. Trying to take shortcuts will just add to the years of futility. It's time to pay the piper.

Totally agree.
there were extenuating circumstances that saw JV and JM in the lineup last year.
with a couple UFAs signed, plus with Brock committed to Univ for another year, i don't think anyone is penciling in this years pick onto the squad (although, they could make the team if they earn it).
