If there was an issue I had, with Vigneault last season, it's how he handled McIlrath. The kid looked more than able to handle a daily spot on the roster instead of a spot in the luxury box. Especially seeing how atrocious Girardi and Boyle looked, at various points in the season, it just made no sense to continue to sit the kid.
