Where did you read that?
- A few weeks ago, NHL's brass estimated it could hit $74M...

Should be a great series. Couldn't care less who will win. Haven't got any special hate for Pitt. Absolutely hate Philthy. Boston, Devils and Habs too.
Pitt in 7. Haggy with a couple shorties

I don't have all the access to their contract status. I knew about Nash, Girardi and Staal because they are mentioned so often and ridicoulous. Sather and if Gorton played a big role should be fired for these moves alone. Why wouldn't you waive Nash and cross fingers someone takes him? You don't think that cap space could be used for better players Lucic (less of a cap hit and a non-wussy) or towards Stamkos? Sorry I insulted you all so far you have been spot on about Torts being Toe Blake, resigning Staal and Girardi, holding onto Nash. Keep up the good work and keep your condescending know it all replies coming! In two years you will have two buyouts getting paid like top d-man and a 9 million dollar goalie in a decline.

Insuring that the NHL gets what they want.....a guarantee that the Rangers can not get better in order to win the Cup, Bettman hates Dolan

Players can still activate the Cap inflator which would take it to $74

this might be the worst post ever, seriously waive nash???

No hold onto him and get injury prone playoff choker for close to 8 million a year. You think he is going to get any more durable as he gets older or suddenly become Mr. Clutch. He is a wussy and disappears in the clutch. Believe me if Messier was on this team he would have got him out of town after his first no show.

He does have 19 points in his last 24 playoff games, I want him gone too cause he makes too much and we could make the team better with his money but he isn't as big a problem as we make him out to be

Rust and Sheary and every (frank)ing bounce imaginable, my nightmare continues, to see Hag raise the Cup in that uniform is such a vomitous reality, this season is going to right up there as the worst of the 32 years as a Rangers and hockey fan

it's called google

you really think the Rangers are going to waive Nash in order to put that money towards Stamkos or Lucic?

you can't waive a player until the season starts, so I don't even understand your logic, but what happens in October when the 7.8 million Nash makes passes through waivers? In Hartford, Nash would still have a 7 million cap hit.

What do you then Mr Wizard?

If you wanna talk Nash buyout, at least that is somewhat intelligent. Although I would start to worry about the Rangers still be appealing to big time UFA's if we keep buying big money contracts out all the time after a few years.
