*to Sammy on ticket prices*

Are you a season ticket holder? Where are you sitting? I made the drive down for Game 7, somehow was able to pluck tickets right off ticketmaster, Row 119 Row W- $210 plus fees per.... Big increase for the finals. SUcks for people with seasons because supporting a team with owning season tickets you should be rewarding by getting to see all the final games live, but at $380 per ticket, at 2 seats over 4 games, that's just not affordable for most.... crazy... I can see jacking the single ticket sales, and the secondary market, but season ticket holders should be given a reasonable price as a thank you for your loyalty. 15% increase per round is fair...

Yeah my family splits them up. We have been for like 15 years. We have great seats in section A behind the net the Pens shoot 2x. We sell most of them though. This year we only got over face value once and it was this past game 7. The rest we sold at a loss. Usually my dad goes to a game a series, if Im in town Ill go, and my brother goes to maybe 2 playoff games a yr.

Ill be honest, for as long as we've been season ticket holders, never a thank you, token of appreciation or anything from the Pens. I think this is the last year we will do playoff tickets. That's an $800 night!

Was is the worst, is paying that extra $50 per ticket for Ticketmaster's service. So, that $380 per ticket is now $430.

No doubt. PM me your email address if you want. I don't go to a ton of games (usually 1 regular season, 1 playoff game per year) but I'm always looking to make contacts with season ticket holders as a source to buy unwanted tickets.

All ya gotta do is not renew instantly, or when they ask say you aren't sure. They will kiss your ass to keep those tickets I hear.

Theres a long list of people that will take those tickets if we hesitate. I think its like 2 weeks after the season you have to re up.

It doens't take stones to make inaccurate claims on blogs, it takes ignorance and stupidity, and a strong wi-fi signal that reaches the basement of your moms house.

Kudos to her tho, helluva an internet package!

Stamkos not playing for what 4 months? He wasnt going to be a difference maker.

Drouin though.....dude is gonna be a star player.

Trade Malkin for Drouin plus... see if their GM still hates him.

While scrolling through Bleacher Report, they had an article on Rutherford's trades andone in particular stood out that I hated at the time... Lovejoy for Simon Despres... It's been a year plus and seeing what each has done and the contract that Despres has, I'm going to say that Rutherford won that trade too in hindsight. Y'alls thoughts?

Too early to tell to be honest. I hated the deal when it was announced. Lovejoy is playing his best hockey of the year IMO right now at the right time. Despres had been injured for most of the year and had mixed results when he was healthy. Anaheim had a small sample size of him last year and went 3.7 for five years. He isn't worth that now. Whether he is down the road remains to be seen. He does have skills to turn into a solid Dman.

We have a similar sample size on Schultz. I hope we don't go overboard on that small sample size like Anaheim did.

Anaheim took a risk and now they are stuck with it and he can't break into the starting lineup... They would give him away in my opinion if someone would take him...
As far as Schultz goes, I expect a bridge contract for 2 years around 3 million.

Technically... until the last 2 games, we were in a near identical situation with Maatta's contract compared to Despres. "Is this what he really is, is he gonna become overpriced injury prone... blah blah blah".

Just for a decent comparison.

Side note.... anyone seen the articles springing up today about Kessel and how happy he is being on the team and making it to Cup Finals? Definitely happy for him being grateful and actually showing emotion in interviews.

Josh wrote his Good Dude of the month on Kessel and it was so heart warming.
