did we come to a conclusion on Duchene <> Hall debate or nah? - DDM-Coga
Nah. They're like pancakes and coccaine. Inseparable and awesome in their own way. |

blachawks went 10 year with only making the playoffs once.... seems very similar to oiler rebuild - derm10
True , but after Toews and Kane started playing they were in the western final in two years and a cup within 3 I think. Besides them and Barker I don't think they had a draft pick in the top 5. |

Hall rightfully wasnt chosen because he is the lead player on a loser. playing on a national team is a privelege that should be reserved for the best of the best
Hall as a pro has played 7 years and his teams have only gotten worse
Crosby Tavares, Toews, etc also played for bad teams early in their careers but unlike Hall they led their teams to bigger and better things whereas Hall has not
as such he does not deserve to be selected, not if they want to win at any rate - randi
Hall >>>>>Marchand
Ek E3 rumor had Yakapov being shoped with a second for Gudbranson , panthers choose mccaan, which is funny because I almost would have traded mccaan straight up for yak |

True. But besides Barker you guys have drafted some stellar defence in the later rounds, and that my friend has made all the difference. |

In summary, the Oilers are a bad team so none of their players should be able to compete internationally. This rule only applies to the Oilers. Also, breaking news, young, rich hockey players spend lots of money on booze from time to time. - smellmyfinger
Not good old Haliburton boy Matt Duchene who is a christian that likes to fish and play country music
Taylor Hall worships the devil and throws rocks at poor kids in Calgary |

the face palm belongs to oiler fans who are perfectly fine with being the worst run franchise in all of sports
one whose best player had to be taken to his hotel by the Police after the team new years Party at Calgary's Osteria de Medici.
as reported by the Star:
Eight thousand bucks sure sounds like a lot of booze.
That's how much 45 Edmonton Oilers and their entourage consumed on New Year's Eve at Calgary's Osteria de Medici. Then the fun started. The Oilers party took issue with the roughly $17,000 bill (once food and 18 per cent gratuity were factored in). They refused to pay more than $13,000. Restaurant owner Maurizio Terrigno went public, shaming the hockey team.
this is not the only incident either......
most fans are blissfully unaware of what players do off the Ice.....Taylor Hall has multiple incidents where the Oilers have had to get involved to protect the franchise - randi
This is funny, as Oilers fans had been calling for managements heads (fans even took out city billboards calling to fire Lowe LOL) for so long that the the new generation grew up and forgot about it |

Duchene gets his values from the AVs. If he was on the Oilers he would be an alcoholic serial killer by now and banned from World Cup hockey. |

Only if they're wearing Flames paraphernalia. Totally acceptable practice in such circumstances IMO. |

Taylor Hall could learn a thing or two looking up to Avs management, Patrick Roy has been the model of professionalism on and off the ice and Joe Sakic shows hard work and dedication being humble still doing his own chores like clearing his own drive way.

the point being that the canadian team is aware of his issues and didnt want to risk the embarrassment on the international stage
there have been multiple incidents with Hall and his drinking.....The Oilers cover up for him. but team Canada has had their fill
Oiler fans may be ok with it but it doesnt mean the national team of canada is |

He really needs a coach like Torts in my opinion. Maybe they can make an exception and let him play for the US so he can learn the value of blocking shots with his face and cursing off journalists. |

Hard to believe that Justin Shultz got snubbed for the World Cup. The kid is a finalist in the STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS.
