This Stamkos talk is kind of strange. he's going to play for the lightning next year.

Idea - Stamkos Re-Signs with tampa bay for 6 years. he's worth Re-Signing. everyone will disagree, but i think he's their best player. not hetman, not Kucherov, but Stamkos. I know everyone will disagree with me about who their best player is, but whatever.

But then, does tampa bay trade Killorn? no. Drouin i think will stay, but if he doesn't, they might be able to get 11th, 12th, or 13th overall. i think Drouin will stay with the lightning, Just like Hamonic is staying with the islanders, But speaking of Hamonic, if the islanders decide to trade him, would he go to the lightning Maybe? Yeah, Maybe, but also a Hamonic for Pacioretty Trade might make sense. Subban isn't defensive, and hamonic could take his place. and then, The islanders could replace okposo with pacioretty, but only the scoring. overall, Pacioretty is not even close to as Good as Okposo. Okposo is probably the Top UFA. but what if the lightning sign Okposo? then, well, that won't happen. they will re-sign Stamkos.

But imagine a UFA Trade. stamkos signs with NYI as a UFA, and okposo signs with TBL as a UFA. that would be interesting.

That's why I added Lou and Shanahan as an important factor. They believe in protecting their players especially from the media. Believe it or not, some players like to be in the spot light.

What does my education have to do with anything? Now your assuming I'm dumb or have a bad education because I used a word in the wrong connotation. Get a life. A player can get used to said conditions if the right opportunity came around. Assuming something based on something someone said in the past does not necessarily make it true for the future. Money talks in the world of sports and it can make the biggest of differences to some players. Stamkos would have signed already if it wasn't about the money.

That's a little overblown.. the most introverted player (Kessel) loved playing in TO... its just some media quacks who are annoying. You're also making assumptions that Stamkos doesn't like the attention. Most guys actually do. As a Canadian who grew up a Leafs fan, Id much rather live in Vancouver than TO... But id do anything for a chance to play for the Leafs.

I would love to see where Stamkos has said that. Brain Lawton, his ex-GM that actually knows him thinks otherwise:
