Such a joke. You know torts had a huge say in this with as bunch of lunks on the roster. Jack Johnson? Dubinsky and Callahan? What a joke I won't care when the lose

But whatever. Another dumb tournament

How hilarious would it be if Team North America U23 blasted Team USA?

Glad to see Giroux on Team Canada, though -- should've been on the Olympic team in '12

At least now that narrative is done

Team USA...man. Just...wow

I will root for them, of course. But man. That defense is gonna get turnstiled in a tournament like this -- I can't even imagine the kinds of chances and shots they're gonna give up to some of the teams in this tournament

So, I'm gonna watch some of the Rouyn-Noranda/Red Deer game. The Myers kid is one of ours, I know. Anybody else I should care about? I guess the Timo Meier kid is a SJ draft pick and a case of the rich getting richer?

I watch closely for RN: Myers, J Lauzon, Meier, Greer, Perron (he is a gem 7th rounder. Like his game a lot)

RD: Fleury, DeBrusk, Helewka, Bleakley.

Of course Myers is always the apple of my eye when he touches the ice. But those are some names I clue in on. Those are all drafted players...neither team really has a key draft eligible player.

Myers was sound defensively that period I thought. One of his end to end rushes led to a goal, but he was a little haphazard with the puck that period.

Perhaps he's a bit tired & fighting it.

It is his 87th total game this year.

Nah he looks fine -- I'm sure he is tired like everyone else. He just bobbled the puck a few times. He has been better this period with it. Shooting a ton too. You watching?

They ask him to carry the puck quite a bit. I didn't expect that at all. He's carrying the puck into the Ozone way more than provorov was for his team. Hes good at using his size to shield the small junior players away and he has a knack for making the right play. I really like how walks the blue line to create his shot or a pass attempt. I noticed the bobbles too in the 1st period.

Puck got away from him. It happens. Crisper with it that period.

I really don't see the Coburn comparison other than body type and skating ability. Myers can be very very dynamic offensively. And boy does he love to shoot -- hard and often. He's just very smooth in all 3 zones. Just needs to be a tad smarter at times with the rushes. But I LOVE that he can both do it and is eager to do it. He doesn't chip pucks out. He makes plays. RN defense is really taught well .

I like how fluid he is -- only my first time watching him so i don't want to overstate, but it certainly looks like skating is a real asset with this prospect

Did I hear right, that the Helewka kid's an overager? He still loose or did someone sign him?

Myers didn't play the last ten minutes it felt like. I have no clue why...must have gotten banged up bc there was no reason for a benching, especially your best d man protecting a lead. Huh.

You forget sometimes, until the legs start to go on older players, just how much skating matters. Some of the kids in this game can really move. Can make up for a few weaknesses, IMO

Just went through the rosters of World Cup teams, got to Czech and wowzers

Possibly could be the worst world team iced using NHL players, the goaltending and backend...just woah. Watch them win it all, but I would shocked to see them win a game.

Glad to see Giroux make Canada, but a little surprised he was picked over some other players.

*Please NO injuries!*
