The suicide watch was warranted. I was belly laughing.

It was a straight up video game moment. There was some serious talent on the board...Barzal was one- they could have swiftly put themselves in sweet shape with those 3 picks. And they (frank)ed it up. Beautiful.

That video is both hilarious and cringe worthy -- never seen it. Seguin needs to be traded because he isn't "tough" and doesn't "play our game" even though they say he will be a "superstar." This is the Flyers front office before Hextall too. One of the two changed though. I don't think people realize how moronic some front offices can be with their "hockey people" and their trite phrases that pass for "analysis." There's always a happy medium, but videos like this or "whacks 'em with his stick" Morin draft video make you really question what's going on behind the scenes.

Barzal, Konecy, Connor, Chabot -- those are the 4 names I would've taken 3 of at the time, no hindsight. That's absurd what they could've done in the span of 3 picks. It's almost as absurd as what they did do.

There's no doubt that the Bruins made a mistake trading Seguin, and I think the reasons they did, are just plain bad reasons. It was team effort with that there, so I have no problem with the criticism of that move, in fact I agree with it. The part I don't agree with, is the ridiculous false narrative, that the Flyers front office was the same before Hextall. Every team and GM makes mistakes. Both the Bruins and the Flyers front offices before Hextall were very successful. I'm a fan and a beleiver of Hextall as a GM, but honestly, what he has he done that is so great to this point. Obviously he has only been the GM for a short time, but he'll have his share of warts also, just like every GM has. There's also the arrogant narrative from a fan, of how moronic some front offices can be.

We saw a 4 minute video there. I'm quite sure that the process of deciding to trade Seguin took more than 4 minutes.

The biggest thing I took out of it, is Chiarelli did not seem like a guy in charge, or confident in the decision he was making. His pattern of speech and body language said the opposite. Like he was looking for someone to make the decision for him.

Fraude and Ghost made the World Cup teams. So did Streit and Bellemare.

Of course Canada left off Perry (who just captained Canada to gold last week lol. What a Richard move) for Duchene/Marchand, PK and Letang for Weber (Olympics 2022 lock). Nowhere near as bad as USA though...the drop off on their cuts is dramatic. Embarrassingly so.
