Congrats guys, a much deserved finals appearance. After all the poop that the crappy TO media gave to Phil, it'd be really nice to see him hoisting the cup above his head. - lumlums
Man Phil just seems like a really good guy. His interview was so nice to see. Just pure happiness. He looked like a kid. |

For every soft goal he let in, which wasnt many, he made 10 stellar saves. That game should of ended 6-1 last night. - MattStrat
Just saying, through the series we didn't seem to struggle scoring. I always thought goals would come. |

Game of Thrones' beloved gentle giant appears to have perished at the hands of the White Walkers, after Bran Stark "warged into" (took control of) his body during the attack on the cave where they'd been hiding out. It's a gut punch, since Hodor was one of the rare sources of joy in a deeply depressing show.

Not sure he wouldn't have an issue with Yzerman?? Guy suspended him after not trading him & then went public. - Aussiepenguin
He had to suspend him, 'cause Drouin wouldn't play in the AHL. I'm pretty sure the big "rift" is between Drouin and Cooper. I don't really know all the specifics, but that kid belongs in the NHL even if he makes the occasional mistake. I hate the philosophy of punishing young, talented players when they make a couple of mistakes. It's a learning process. It reminds me of Dan Bylsma never trusting young players. |

I just googled Hodor. As I said I have no idea who that is. My apologies if it reveals anything (it is on the Internet). |

He should have been in the NHL all along. Sometimes teams just make idiotic decisions. Theres not way you can convince the Drouin we saw this series wasn't a NHL player 4 months ago. And by a (frank)ing wide margin |

Yeah, I made a deal with my wife that I'd drop NHL Network after the Memorial Cup and replace it with HBO so we could catch up on this season of Game Of Thrones...guess I know what happened to a few people now. |

This series felt like it could have been over in 5 or 6 easily with a couple 5 goal games. Vasi played great and made it tight.
Against the sharks I don't think we can lose the goalie matchup as severely. And we shouldn't.
Nice to see Maata back in action. We needed him to improve to replace Daley and he's stepping up again. I guess a few of our guys just needed a little time off.
I feel like goaltending won us the caps series and nearly lost us this series. Next series we will see. |

If I remember correctly, Drouin was told he would be playing in the NHL then got sent down, asked to be traded & was told he would be then got told to play in the AHL. Now not sure if waivers had anything to do with it but 'lesser' players were kept in the NHL (from memory was the sticking point). So from that I think it was reported that Yzerman lied to Drouin & his agent then suspended him. Don't blame the kid wanting to play in the NHL when he can. He just proved he isn't too bad at it either. |

I think the issue was that Tampa may not have needed him at that time so sent him down. I'd be pissed if I were him as well. Remember it's a business (except when young players want to treat it that way! ). |

All I know is if a coach wants a player to play on the NHL roster, you can pretty much bet he'll be on the roster. If a coach doesn't want a guy around, he'll be either in the press box or another league (like Sprong). It's rare when a coach wants a player on his roster and the GM doesn't comply......like when Eddie O wanted MAF with the big club. |

He wasn't. He left a passer, defensively weak, soft in corners and afraid to hit. Now he has more of a shoot first mentality, he's defensively better, he goes hard in the corners and he's not afraid to take the body. Lightning fast I have watched him over the past year and a half can attest to this. |

He really is, but because he's a bit gruff with some media (with the (frank)wits in the TO media, who can blame him?) they just (frank)ing pounced on him... hell, one of the guys was female doging that he saw Phil once in a Starbucks, and was pissed that Phil didn't say hi to him - what a dumb, entitled bastard
Anyway, it's great to see him playing for the cup - he certainly has the talent to get his name on there, and if he keeps playing how he has been, he may just get his name on a Conn Smythe as well; that would really end the "you can't win with Phil" bullpoop narrative |

I put You Can Call Me Al on repeat on the way to work this morning. It was so blissful. Kind of don't want the Stanley Cup Finals to start so I can just live in bliss forever. |

He wasnt gruff from the get go in TO. The media started the sh!t narratives about him, the gullible fans ate it up, he became gruff and as result the best player the Leafs have had in 10 years was run out of town.
Thanks TO media. |

That's okay, I thought you knew what you were doing...like the guy on the Philly board who revealed the most shocking part of the new Star Wars movie 4 days after it came out, and then justified it with, "If you haven't seen it by now, you obviously don't care."
All is good, though. |

Yeah, they're mainly a giant bag of Richards. There's a few good guys who report reasonably (Bob MacKenzie, Elliotte Friedman, Sean Fitz-gerald) but they're few and far between.
They then post idiotic stuff to twitter like "It wasn't me that traded Phil - that was Dubas" when they know full well that their moronic bullpoop was lapped up by the dumbest 80% of the fan base, causing them to turn on Phil (and others).
Anyway, I hope that Phil can silence them. |
