Ok isn't good enough in ECF as you can see, but I think he's a goner.

Gotta think Bishop is the difference on a the second goal last night... keeps it 1-1 then who knows.

Malkin played responsibly and was dangerous last night and chipped in 2 assists. Hes officially out of my doghouse, but he's not running off-lesh in the pasture yet... need another performance like this to confirm his committment to decent hockey.

Yeah but keeping with this who knows....would he of matched that series long goalie performance if he was in net the whole time? Would it of went 7 games if he didnt get injured?

Who knows.

That was one of the best goal tending performances in a 7 game series I've ever witnessed. Goaltending was Tampa's biggest strength in this series by a landslide.

Yeah, that was right on the cusp of getting Halak'd completely. But they didn't let themselves get frustrated this time.

I don't think Bishop puts together that kind of a 7-game performance. I don't know of many goalies that do. Cause in other series where our scoring has dried up (Montreal in '10, Bruins in '13), it's because we weren't getting 2nd chances or getting into the dirty areas, but this time we were & Vasy was still shutting the door. He was as close to on-fire as you get in the playoffs.

Didn't get to sleep until 2:30. Awake at 5:30 & in my office a little after 6. And I'm still almost shaking from excitement.

I was trolling. I compared Johnston to Hodor.

I'm sorry don't know who Hodor is?? You sounded convincing though!

(frank)in' rights boys. My Twitter timeline was full of salt last night. My buddies that are Wings, caps and lightning fans all are rooting for the Sharks. Hell, basically everyone is. Love being the "underdog".

Probably going to make the voyage to Pitt for the big screen at least. If tickets aren't too bad I might pop on some. I'd like to go to a game that we can clinch on Thursday-Saturday. Hopefully I get the chance. I was in Chicago last year when the Hawks beat the Preds on game 6 and it was crazy. I can only imagine what a Cup win would bring.... Mayhem.

Great game last night eh, but that kid Drouin is gonna be scary, was afraid everytime he had the puck.. Pouliot + sprong for drouin?
- sicknature71

Honestly Drouin was the only Bolt that consistently worried me. Stamkos had that one great chance, but Drouin was scary every time with the puck. Tampa better hope him and Cooper can form a truce.

Congrats to all Pens fans, and best of luck in the final. Will be hoping for you to win and for Kessel to continue to be red hot. You stole him from us.

Our PP definitely needs to be split up. They flat out suck for the talent they have out there.
- thickman1178

I like the two D option I would go

Pp1: 87 71 72 58 3

Pp2 81 17 62 4 8

Vasy was good but the Pens always got a goal when we needed it. Getting consecutive 3+ goals in games should nearly always get you home in playoffs shouldn't it?

It just seemed like although he held us out while getting nuked, he did let goals through & never shut the door. Would/could Bishop have been any better?? I still think that GWG was soft as well.[/img]

Looks like Geno has awakened at just the right time. Definitely played one of his more complete games last night. Going to be a great series vs. Sharks! TGIF!

Not sure he wouldn't have an issue with Yzerman?? Guy suspended him after not trading him & then went public.

For every soft goal he let in, which wasnt many, he made 10 stellar saves. That game should of ended 6-1 last night.

Agreed. I already knew Drouin was gonna score just the way he did when he had the puck. Kid is scary and I would have loved to rob Tampa of his talents...

Congrats guys, a much deserved finals appearance. After all the poop that the crappy TO media gave to Phil, it'd be really nice to see him hoisting the cup above his head.

Probably, but I'm pretty sure he lets in one or two that Vasy saved. I think its pretty safe to say, I still don't think TB prevails in this series with a healthy Bishop. Easy was magical in net and was the only true reason they had a chance.
