Here is the bottom line on MAF
1.. Chosen first overall in his draft year...not just first round First overall
2 Why does Team Canada never call on him for their team
3 Maf has won a Stanley Cup.....So what
4 Carey Price and Roberton Luongo have never won a Cup but Team Canada calls on them. Can anyone tell me the answer to question 2?
I will give you the answer THEY DON'T TRUST HIM
5 He should have been out of here after the 2012 disaster
6 They will never win another Cup with him as their go to guy. Folds under pressure
That has been his weak point. Not mentally strong enough. One Cup with the teams he was playing behind is not acceptable
He should be gone.
Don't take this as a personal attack on him. He is a real nice guy very likeable but nice guys will not take you to the promised land 2009 is a long time ago in a galaxy far far away - holeinone
We lock up the eastern conference championship and get a birth to the STanley Cup Finals and this guy still has sand in his Vah Jay Jay.
Next DCOMS will make a return from his lifetime ban and spout off how he's the smartest yutz this side of the nut house. Haha some things never change.

For the next couple days the PP needs to practice. Without Letang. The PK is going to have to be aggressive. SJ will pick us apart if we sit back. |

The Lovejoy trade reminded me of the Shero-era annual 'playoff trades' for guys like Douglas Murray, Iginla, Brendan Morrow - DeflatedPucks
The only difference, those guys were two month rentals. All three of those deals still piss me off. |

Yeah the focus for Sully and Co. Is going to have to be special teams and discipline. We can't let tantrums or our inept ability to capitalize on a sharks penalty dictate our results. |

I think the other aspect of it was everyone waited for SO LONG for Despres to finally get regular minutes and for him to blossom as a player, and just when it appear he was finally doing that he got traded. - Emperor Filonius
I'm in the minority but actually curious to see how Perron would have performed under Sullivan given a full season. He did have 4 pts in 10 games under Mike although granted the team did lose like 4 straight games.
Not saying I would not like Hagelin on this team.... |

I get the temptation, but the reality is, rentals are just too risky and rarely pan out. If you as a gm think lining up rentals like we've done in our recent past will result in pushing the team in the right direction, think again. |

I'm glad they get 3 days off and the whole schedule kinda looks like it has a few two day offs... i like that from a Pens pov. Smaller team that relies of quickness and speed will need to be a well rested group each night. |

It going to be necessary due to the time zone changes and travel. It will give both teams a chance to rest and adjust. |

There's 2 days off when they have to travel. |

If not there's something wrong with management... especially as he was arguably the best player at the Olympics for you folks... |

Is Brian Burke part of the selection committee? Otherwise like he did Bobby Ryan, he'll probably say that Kessel is soft or doesn't have the drive or truculence |

If the Penguins happen to win the cup, I would like nothing more than to see Kessel pose for a picture with the cup full of hotdogs just to rub it in to all the haters. |

Dcoms despised Lovejoy if I remember correctly, and he's been one of the many "unsung" hero's during this run. He's playing the best hockey of his career. |

He would 100% still be female doging about Pouliot not playing over Lovejoy despite Lovejoy having a great series so far and it would be driving me up a wall. Dcoms has totally ruined Pouliot for me. I borderline hate DP because of him. |

If I recall, only two ESPN hockey people are picking Pittsburgh in the series against SJ. Not too many people give them a chance. It's the way I want it.

I'd love to take Melrose, Roenick, Milbury, and Pierre up to Fargo. I hear there's a great wood chipper up there to check out. |

Halloween this past year - cap1681
Don't know how I missed it.. but that's what I figured. |

I wish there was a way to track all of the crap we say on this board for an accurate retrospective.
December 2014, this guy was the first to say Johnston would never lead this team anywhere. Took a lot of crap for that. Even suggested we needed a fiery coach not named Tortorella.
January 2016, this guy was the first to say we had a good group that could put it all together....even after Malkin went down and Jfkst lost his marbles.
I firmly believe I should get a contract for being right about it all. You hear me Mario? Double my trucking salary and I'll consider a lifetime contract!!!!! |

Seriously though I said this the other week, but what harm does Pierre actually do? He's just a weirdo. I'd rather have around than not have him for the moments of brilliant awkwardness he provides me with. |
