Should be a really fun series, yet again!
On a side note, J. Schultz has been a very solid player in crucial moments. I said all along when we first acquired him that he just needed a change of scenery, really like what I see in him going forward. - Weisenheimer
i liked that they had him out there on the PP 1 at the end. they just need to learn that it needs to be for letang and not malkin.
letang had a pretty decent ES game too. just lessen his minutes, take away that responsibility. |

His worst offense, is whiffing on a few clears in the prior 2 games, but none caused a goal... so... meh. |

But hey, eastern conference champs! - drummer829
We are going to be playing a faster team than TB that has a DANGEROUS power play. Should be interesting. |

i actually really, really do too. well about as much as you can feel for a professional athlete.
but you know what i mean. i do feel for the guy. he gave a lot to the franchise, and i love him as a person. but it needs to be over. - stayinthefnnet
exactly. Its more of a personal thing. I remember watching them win in 09 and the chills I got when he made that diving save, It was a moment of disbelief. I had never seen them win before that. I still get chills watching the fans go nuts. Im not a steelers fan, or a pirates fan, but I will always love the Pens. Its a family thing, you can't help it sometimes

Playing for the cup!!! Yeah baby!!!! |

MVP of the series... is still their goalie. Not Murray, not anyone on our team. I'll be real with this, he was the only reason they were in this. |

Are the Sharks actually faster than Tampa? Or were LA and the Blues just slow? |

What? San Jose is not faster than Tampa. They're fast for the West, they're maybe as fast as the Capitals....
San Jose looks good, they have tremendous depth, a hot goalie and they are scoring alot of goals. But they haven't played against anything like the type of speed that we play with. |

Murray will have to be the difference in this series. Pavelski is going to be a handful. But so was Kucherov apparently, we held him at bay, so was Ovechkin, we held him at bay! |

Brian Rust is Max Talbot. - madmike71
That's what I thought too.
Damn, what a tense game. I liked that they didn't sit back the last 5 minutes. |

Maatta healthy/conditioned makes the difference. And Shultz |
|
|
|
And again, the Kessel trade gets even better for us, and Torontos 1st round pick from us is basically now a second haha. |

Maatta wound back the clock. If he plays like rookie Maatta we can weather the Daley loss. If he relapses to this year's Maatta, we're in trouble. |

I thought the Pens were excellent in the neutral zone all game, really limited the Tampa counter attack, then they were all over them in the defensive zone. 10 shots through 2 periods, only 17 all game... thats a complete defensive game. |

Well, they looked fast against sTL. Maybe I'm wrong. We shall see. They certainly are deeper than TB. However, I'm not sure Martin Jones is better than what we have faced in any of the series thus far. |
