I heard someone say Marleau has been a Shark for 18 years of the 24 years the franchise has been in existence. I love that, and would like to see him and big Joe win a cup.

read hasn't scored in 2 years and Laughton hasn't shown he can score at the nhl level. so not sure how you can say that line can score.

Hmmm...4th on the team 5 v 5 pts/60, ahead of Giroux, Borchers and Raffle. 7th in 5 v 5 overall.

He only 2 years removed from the OHL.

Scoring is the least of my worries with Laughton. His all-around game may be weak, and he may be dependent on his linemates, but in a good situation, he can get some points.

Is this future UFA(Jimmy Vesey) just out of college any good? Was drafter in 3rd rd by Preds in 2012. LW goal scorer.

The team has been lost in the wilderness without him. Time to save the day, Stammer.

To the press box, Drouin!

Personally, I'm not worried about Laughton at all. I still believe he's going to be a solid player. Real easy to lose your way a little as a rookie, and it snowballs from there. I think the talent, and the competitive fire is there. It's just a question of what kind of player he's going to be. The story was he was a two way checking type player with some offense. He looks more like a scoring winger, but we'll see. As far as being dependent on his linemates. The overwhelming majority of players in the league, are dependent on linemates.

Yeah, he has shown moxie with the puck, willing to take it right to the net, and always looking to shoot the puck. That should translate into some production once his linemates/minutes improve.
