So lets pretend that the idiot Brooks is right. Shatty plays the right side, so does this mean McIlrath sees limited time again or would they be making another trade to get something for him? Can't imagine with Shatty/Klein/Girardi on the right side McIlrath would see many games.

I could actually see a trade around Nash for Kane out of Buffalo (other moving pieces involved obviously). New York would get some cap relief and upside, Buffalo would get guy who isnt a Richard and can play a good 2 way game with one of their young centers.
Wouldn't make sense for the sabres to trade a 25-year old who plays a more physical game and scores roughly the same for an older Nash. I like Nash, but if the price is more than a second and a low-level prospect, I doubt the sabres are interested. After all, moving Nash is seen as a positive for NY, and so that's where the value lies for the Rangers.
