NBC made the NHL shut down the Tampa Bay viewing party for tonight game due to low ratings. Of course this will be the pens fault and because the pens are the NHLs favorite team and blah blah blah more dumb poop.

It's not shut down, they are still doing it lol

Theres chatter in the Candian media that Stamkos might play... not sure if I care if he does.

Can't imagine after so much time off that he'd be a big facto. He might disrupt the Tampa chemistry/flow though.

Adding an elite scorer is never a bad thing.

Then they will most likely be fined by the NHL for it.

I don't know if the NHL can fine them for that, but I think Comcast can.

Pretty much but on steroids. Vancouver gave up a lot more this time around than they did for Sutter.
- Victoro311

Looks close to the same to me. Didn't they give up a 2nd in the deal with us and we gave them a 3rd. Bonino >>> than the former 1st round prospect they gave up.

With what the HBK line is doing Bonino by himself is worth double what they gave up here.

A hard line isolationist foreign policy is flawed, but military interventionism has caused a vast majority of the problems that we're facing today. People forget that the Rawandan genocide stems from the mostly British colonial creation that are the Tutsi and Hutu tribes, and without needless Western involvement in the Middle East that hasn't been necessary since the Cold War, terrorist organizations wouldn't be able to manipulate the Muslim populace to unite against a common enemy and fundamentalism wouldn't have the traction it has today.

Kinda short sighted. Our entire wealth is based on being a global trading powerhouse. Until very recently we NEEDED to keep Saudi crude flowing. Involvement in the ME was a necessity. And the Shia and Sunnis have been killing eachother for 1300 years.

From what I read the NHL and NBC have an agreement to only 1 away viewing party per series so the NBC can manage ratings. The NHL has issued a fine warning to Tampa bay already. That is if what im reading is correct.

Florida gave up good to decent draft picks and a third D pair guy that has been passed over by their recent youth for McCann and a 5th. I like what I saw from McCann. He will be a good fit in Florida.

I wonder what the players do all day leading up to the game 7? It's not like they could go out in public without being bombarded with pictures and autographs...
- hipcheck_goalie

If I was a player about to play game 7 I would cruise the Allegheny river all day in a 40,000 dollar bass boat fly fishing. Just to keep my mind off it. I remember in high school if there was a big game that night I would spend all day just dwelling on it. By the time I was in the locker room laced up I would be mentally exhausted. Can't imagine a game 7.

Didn't Erik Cole come back in the finals the day he was cleared to skate after Orpik broke his neck like the 10th game of the season? Im pretty sure he scored and might of had a multiple point night.

I think you're underestimating how good of a prospect McCann is. I'm pretty sure he was their best prospect. Also, we essentially swapped picks. Van sent over a 2nd and something else for a fifth. That's more than just a swap.
