yea this makes no sense to me....
Even from Florida's perspective, they are pretty deep and young at center...

Was thinking the same, though I am coming around on it this morning. The Canucks have Horvat and Sutter, and although I think the jury is out on just what role they expect them to fill, with a high draft position, they are poised to grab another centre in Dubois/Brown/Jost if they want to go that route
They don't have a lot of young talent on the backend, and Gudbranson, if nothing else, is a big RH shot. What could be really interesting is if they decide now to get him another young guy to pair with down the road in this draft... Say Juolevi?
Best player available is always the mantra going into a draft, but they are going to have a really interesting decision to make, moreso now with this trade.
Flames pick seems a little more up in the air after this trade IMO. I also am of the belief that Chycuran could be this year's Fowler coming out of the draft... Falling a fair distance and could yet be the best dman in the draft...
