Marner has been amazing at the Memorial Cup and playoffs. Watching him on the ice I have struck that he reminds me of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in appearance and playing style. I hope he doesn't take after RNH especially his injuries. Hopefully, Marner will be more like Kane on the ice.

Definitely a lot of roster moves needed to add the young guns and free agents. I don't believe Stamkos is coming to the Leafs but it won't be the first or last time I am wrong. If Stamkos plays on Thursday, he is returning to the Lightning.

It was on "Leafs Lunch" on TSN radio Toronto a few weeks back. He was asked about Marner's development on the Knights and he went on about how Marner doesn't seem to step up his game in pressure situations like Matt Tkachuk does. Went on to say Marner racks up most of his points "on Thursday nights vs. Owen Sound"

you are taking adult males...18 and 19 years old... old enough to go to war... and telling them "sorry, you cant work in your chosen field, you need to play for free."

if a player is 18... and good enough for the AHL and maybe not quite there for the NHL he should be allowed to go and work for pay.

Junior hockey is holding back the 19 year olds for their league coffers not the player's benefit. Doubt things are going to change soon

I think the Leafs r in a good spot but need to add Stamkos so we can shelter both Marner and Matthews. U would have Stamkos, JVR and Nylander as your first line and that way u can have Matthews, Marner and Hyman on your second or third line. Obviously we need to get rid of either Bozak or Kadri in this scenario. Its a great time being a Leafs fan

If he plays for nothing and risks his future to play in this game 7 then I believe he is going back to Tampa.

Yes, I am a Lightning fan but Stamkos really cares about his team and its players. He is a great Captain and team mate. If he doesn't play on Thursday, then the move is in play.

Habs have no cap space to sign Stamkos around 10M, they would have to unload Eller and Emelin and we all know trades are hard.
