the coach when you get rid of a lame duck things can change fast also bringing in donskoi and letting couture and vlassic mature helped a lot
oh and there's martin jones nemi was garbage - 2Real
true, i failed to take the goalie changed into account.
martin jones wont be confused for a top 2 or 3 guy in the game, but he is very solid in his own right. and yeah niemi is (frank)ing trash.
the shark graphic across the scroller is (frank)ing bad ass. man this team is so deep. |

barely - 2Real
its just such a (frank)ing wealth of offensive guys.
pavelski, thornton, hertl, couture, ward, donskoi, marleau. burns basically plays like a forward.
guys like wingels can pot some too from the bottom 6.

I can't understand that move from Florida's perspective. - MJL
Don't understand it either. Works for Canucks though. |

This Flyers era is pretty much the abreu-lieberthal era of the phillies... Highly paid all stars that put up nice numbers... Can't win a playoff series... Stats advanced stats yadda yadda yadda... How bout just (frank)ing winning? |

They were completely outclassed against washington... We'll see i hope the guy works out. But again another position given due to familiarity... This has to be the last dance of the good ol' boy club if they don't get it done in another 4-5 years. |

Are you female doging about the Flyers playoff success while praising the Sharks playoff success? LOL. Glad to know I can ignore any stupid thing that comes from you. |

General consensus seems to be that the Canucks front office, already incompetent, got more incompetent.
They traded one of their top forward prospects (keep in mind they were I believe the second worst offensive team in hockey) for an overrated bottom pairing 24 yo defensive d man who has a career high of 13 points. Oh yeah, they also added the 33rd pick in the draft, even though they are rebuilding. Jim Benning, for ya. Hexy needs to contact him pronto. |

Professional sports is a "what have you done for me lately" arena. Giroux is getting credit for performances that are going to be 5 years + old ... Let that sink in. |

getting outclassed might have been a good thing for us because it lets us see the massive gaps this team needs to fill over the years |

Is ice cold too? - JoeRussomanno
some have classified it as such. temperature and the human experience of it is a relative phenomenon.
but you know what i mean haha
just look at these teams. flyers are largely just giroux and jake. jake was off. love simmonds, but he is dependent on others. one line/one star players can be so easily taken out by quality teams in the playoffs.
as much as i enjoy poking fun at giroux. viewing it objectively, it isn't like he disappears. players suffer from recency bias. pens lose tomorrow, and i will literally want to burn my neighborhood down. but it doesn't change the answer to the names of the 2 guys who own the highest active ppg in the playoffs. and giroux isnt exactly that far behind on the list. |
