I don't buy the whole multi point thing. I don't think that is a big deal. Sid has 2 GWGs this series, with his 1st OT playoff winner.. Letang has been bad the last 2 games whether it be temper tantrums or just turnovers galore. I will agree that Malkin has not been good. And it definitely sucks that his line mates are not the kind of players that compliment him. Is Sheary hurt? I feel like I've read somewhere that he's hurt. Not that most guys in the playoffs aren't. Also.. I was back in Pitt this week, and word on the streets is Malkin's arm isn't 100%? I dunno. Rust works his ass off still, but him alongside Malkin just doesn't work. I'd like to see them load up Sid and Geno on the same line, all game. Not just 5 minutes, and not just the PP. Give Cullen the 3C spot and Fehr the 4C. Load up Sid and Geno on the 1st line.

Yes, it was confirmed that Sheary was "banged up" which was moreso the reason Bennett got to play, to let Sheary rest.

By that logic, I think Kuhn should rest a game since hes in that walking boot to and from the arena.

Also, I like the Cullen 3rd line idea. Gives him either Kunitz or Horny, with Geno up on Sid's wing. And its not like Fehr centering the 4th line is bad, still one of the better 4th lines in the NHL if hes the center.

Seeing how this series has progressed, if we lose tonite I do think it's a disappointing season from where the team got to. In saying that, I think Muzza brings home the bacon in Tampa & hammers home the series at The Burgh!

I won't rush to judgement one way or the other, but I think it's fair to question the value of a player if he doesn't produce on the biggest stage. Madden is doing a pretty good indictment of the stars on the radio today, and as much as I hate that piece of sh!t, I have to say it's pretty damn accurate.

Neither Sid or Geno have had a multi-point game since the first round. That's not good enough.

It was kind of a joke lol. But malkin has totally been underwhelming. being thrown off the puck very easily isn't what geno machino is all about. I'm not really focused on the offseason yet as the team is still in the playoffs, but I was thinking what if the pens made a run for that Shipachyov guy from the KHL and moved malkin to the wing. It's a bit of a stretch that he could be a bonafide 2nd center in the NHL, but he was a solid player when I watched him during the worlds (only 3 games). Maybe malkin needs a friend from his motherland

Like Plotnikov? Just messing with ya, but if I was coming from KHL Pens would be far from my first destination. Geno gets leftover wingers and the Plotnikov deal was a big mess. Now for some optimism, remember when Geno said "Pens are mad at each other"? He responded with a giant game. Here's hoping for an encore. LGP

I don't think the 4th line should see much ice time tonight.

I really wish you folks that are already starting to rationalize our early exit would remember that January day when everything turned around.

This ain't over.

Tonight is exactly the time that we wish for at the start of every season.

Go Pens!

Sadly, I think they will since Sully is going to roll out the 4 balanced lines again.

Tired about hearing about "this window". We've been saying that for years. Sports championships aren't about "hey we'll get'em next year". I'm so sick of that mentality.

I know you were kind of kidding, I'm just stressing how disappointed I am in Geno. His play in the last game (hell this series) has not been worth 9 mil. If we go out with both stars coming up small, I can understand people like Sammy talking about trades.

Not only did he respond with a giant game, but he responded with a mammoth set of games that lasted until he got hurt.

To your point on Plotnikov, I'm not sure how badly we handled that situation after thinking about it for a while. It was an unfortunate set of circumstances for Plotnikov. He bough himself out of the KHL to give himself a chance at the NHL, but ended up not being an NHL talent (didn't carve himself a role out on the Yotes) and made it clear he would not be accepting of time in the AHL to develop. We eventually traded him, so I'm not sure how much blame is on us. We tried our best.

While I don't disagree with you, I do feel that Pens didn't help themselves regarding free agents from KHL. Who really knows to be honest. LGP

After watching Sid predominantly man the half wall, I'd love to hear a media member question this. BECAUSE HE SUCKS AT IT SINCE FOREVER.

I don't get the setup. I don't get the predictable cross ice passes. I don't understand why that much talent can mangle something so consistently.

I admit it, I'm hesitant to watch this game. I hate elimination games.
