Anybody else happen to catch the radio sync'd highlights with Mike Lange's goal calls on Benstonium? The Letang goal call is out of this world, something legends in broadcasting can only dream of . . .

Rust with the goal of they year . . . to date, go figure!

Crosby and Letang were exactly who we thought they were last night. Murray made some fantastic saves through traffic in the 3rd. Great play all around last night.

I might be a bit crazy for saying this, but most important to me has been the play of Ian Cole and Ben Lovejoy. I think we all wrote them off this season as dead weight that the Pens couldnt win with but they have been solid and steady in these playoffs. With Daley going down and Maata trying to get back no track they have been very reliable.

On the other side... curious that everyone isnt burying Hedman for his terrible game 6 like they did Letang after game 5. He was a -4, took a terrible delay of game penalty and was a bystander on Crosby's goal.

What a (frank)ing roller coaster watching the score on the app - 0-1 Tampa ((frank)!!), then 2 minutes later after getting out of an underground parking lot & having reception again 0-0 ((frank)ing ok then ), then 3-0 ((frank) yeah let's go boys) hold that tidal wave in the 3rd please!! I get some time & listen to the game on the phone & (frank) - Philbo scores for (frank)ING TAMPA BAY!!! , then Boyle scores 3 (frank)ing 2 Tampa on a roll - (frank) it I turn the app off & go back underground (frank)it!

Then I grow a pair & its 4 (frank)ing 2!!!!!!!!! 5-2 all over!

(frank) me!

Don't think I'll be turning Mike on on Friday (my time). I might just go & hide in the underground car park where I have no reception for 3 hours!

Great win - our first real test of adversity & we won! Nothing but good signs out of that even with the 2 goals against - we kicked & hit back! First test - PASS!

sooooooo when was the last time we won a game 7?
- martox

I believe 2009... Interesting statistic, every year that the Pens won the Cup, they were down in at least one series 3-2... This team has character and determination. They win game 7...

Might still be riding the high from last night but it really feels like the Pens are a team of destiny this year. And not because of their "core" group of players in Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Fleury.

Kessel was chased out of Toronto for being lazy and soft.
Schultz was the "worst player in the league" with Edmonton a few months ago.
Bonino was a throw in 3/4th line journeyman center in the Sutter trade.
Daley "wasnt good enough" to play in the top 4 for Chicago and was traded for Scuderi!
Hagelin cast off by the Ducks as a failed experiment.
Cullen was a late offseason depth signing who's days were thought to be numbered.
Rust, Sheary and Kuhnackl were just AHLers filling a void because of poor depth.
And Kunitz was done, past being useful half way though the season.

And here they all are playing an instrumental role in this team being one game away from playing in the Stanley Cup. This has been the most memorable season for the Pens since they won the cup. Really happy for all of these guys and hoping they can pull it off in game 7!

We are very very glad our "average at best AHL players" showed up last night. Can't remember if he threw Murray in that group or not, but that group got a goal, an assist and made a bunch of good play on both ends.

I was very critical of getting Ben Lovejoy but he has been very solid in these playoffs. Keep it going boys!

and one of those losses was a 1-0 loss to Tampa in 2011 as Bergenheim scored. I think this one will be or could very well be one of those classics. We are due.

I'm not quite sure, but the last 3 game 7s for the Pens have all come after losses in game 6.

That goal by Rust tho... it's like he bought hands half-way through the game & decided to test them out. And while the whole team was trying to not-lose, he was like "no, I want to win".

Sooo...there's no possible way we see a non-urgent Pens team tomorrow night, right? Because an urgent Pens team is extremely hard to beat.

This is the series of streak breaking. Tampa broke our spotless 42-0 record when leading after 2. Tampa broke our streak of not losing two games in a row. Time to break the game 7 jinx..

Haha you're going to hate me. I'm going to Johns Hopkins. It was hard to say no to spending a year in Bologna and a year in DC. Too many opportunities to let pass by. It was a hard choice though. I got a very good financial aid package from Denver.
