I think our little Darling is better than the Sharks Jones. Heck, Niemi won a cup here and he's no Crow either. Jj has said that the Scotty Bowan model doesn't pay the goalie and I would suggest that if the team comes back from their lunch break the goalie doesn't need to be your bet player. Plus, that where the money is. Crow. Perhaps he go.

Scotty's model which was the Detroit model didn't pay up for the goalies but they changed with Jimmy Howard's new deal....And that hasn't worked out well at all.

If Lundberg can play on the PK as well as what was mentioned he won't sit behind Mashinter. Not many PK specialists are also considered tough customers.

He has ll8ke one fight he did well in Europe and you think he's the next Bob Probert?

When did Al say he was the next Bob Probert?

Tone down the attitude a notch, pal.

According to Elliot Friedman:

As @reporterchris mentioned...FLA/VAN working on a McCann for Gudbranson deal. There are picks involved.

- DarthKane

Wow kind of a head turner for me. So the FLA blue line is Ekblad, Campell (potentially), Petrovic, Kulikov...? Don't remember who else played in the playoffs. They drafted well over the past couple seasons, so they must have a possible replacement or are still working the phones for another prize.

Big Joe and Little Joe team up for nice behind the net goal...

Pavelski is a gold plated steal for 6 ml per...and a 7th round draft choice at that...

last 3 years avg: 39 goals, 76 pts..tough tough player who plays above and stays above all the cheap shot poop..what a playoff he is having..and one of the best at tipping and deflecting the puck...

boy if only the hawks had or could find a player like that with those $$$...

handshakes tonight please

The 7th round pick part plays into it a great deal. JP had his ELC and a bridge deal, then he got a $4M AAV deal now he has a $6M AAV deal (signed a year before Toews).

19 started with a higher ELC and each subsequent deal was higher. Now, that also includes a Conn Smythe, multiple Selke noms and (with a win) and a few cups. He also has .87ppg (vs .77ppg for JP) going back to 07-08.

Kind of interesting how looking at it from different perspectives alters the discussion.

yeah..different players with different skill sets but the same high end compete...

19 3 year avg: 29 goals and 66 points now age 27....pavelski is 31

both deals after ELC for toews and kane resulted in salary cap purges...

Also for years JP was a distant third in the SJ batting order...They paid their 2 big guys a lot and tied them up....Fortunately they were able to control JP long enough until he proved to be most important to the team....and became a key to success at a great price.

In 2014, I think if Vlasic didn't get hurt in the Kings series, the Sharks take that series and maybe the Hawks repeat. Vlasic and the whole sharks team D has looked great. Go all the way baby!

it worked...i thought the sharks were done and moving toward a rebuild with aging 12 and 19..but pavelski exploding along with burns and a few younger guys and they have are formidable...remind of the hawks during cup years: when they decide to play 200 foot defensive game...they win

Now we just have to hope a few Sharks knock Brouwer and Backes through the boards. Add a little injury to insult.
