I mean, he seemingly has all the skill in the world to be a playmaking top-6 winger. I get the feeling that his perceived "attitude problems" are a bit overblown, but he does need to check his ego at the door on the way into training camp. If he does that he has as much chance as any other blue chip prospect does to make it with the team. - eichiefs9

If Josh bailey is part of something that brings back first line talent see ya Josh cause it's a lot easier to replace a third line player. And let's be honest kulamin Nelson clutterbuck cizikas prince bernier Grabo are all 3rd line players and Neilson said he should be one so that means we have jt and had okposo as 1st line players and okposo is second on a better team. Strome and lee I'll give second line although strome was missing half the year.....maybe his stall was next to baileys - Upstate_isles
No way Brock is a 3rd line player. He outscored Strome & Lee and has the 2nd best shooting percentage on the team at 15.8%. Cal Clutterbuck's shooting percentage was 20% for the season. That's an argument to get him onto another line that gets more than an average of 12:00 TOI, per game.

True he's probably better than third line but he seems to hit a wall during the season and just disappear he just needs to have a full season this year which would really help our secondary scoring. His playoffs were dismal too I think he should have sat a few times in place of strome. |

Yea idt Cal or Casey are 4th line players so i put them I that group of guys, that line was the most consistent game in and out they play well defensively and create chances and hit |

Who's the competition in regards to available goalies?
Last year the Oilers won the best available goalie sweeps obviously, but the other guys ( Lack, Niemi, etc...) kinda sucked. Okay, Jones is pretty great.
This year it's who? Reimer, Ward, who else? - Jeropotato
As far as UFA's go I think that's really it. Can't imagine Hiller and Ramo will garner much interest.
I think the real competition will end up being who gets traded. DET figures to move Howard. The Penguins will have to, at the very least, mull over asking Fleury to submit his list of teams for his modified NTC. Ducks will probably be strongly considering moving out Andersen. Hawks could try to move Crawford to clear space too. |

Meh. It's not wildly off-base, but Yakupov's value is at an all-time low as far as I can tell. Not saying he can't self-correct, but I don't have a lot of interest in him. I'd rather see what Ho-Sang can do in Bridgeport or trade him for a better winger. |

Well I would rather trade Yak for Doughty but that not realistic so that's why I asked about A long shot. |

Yeah and I said it wasn't all that unfair, I just personally don't have much interest in him. I have more interest in watching JHS develop, that's all. |

Hold on, let me search for usual response oilers fans get when we refuse a trade proposal , but I'll change it to fit the Islanders.

If it wasnt for the overblown issues surrounding HoSang he'd still be worth a 1st rounder so I politely decline. |

To be fair Bailey really only played 20 of those minutes. The rest of the time he gently skated around. - JimmyP

Good article on ho sang - Upstate_isles
"...He might be part of a dynamic, reinvigorated franchise that is moving to Brooklyn next season..."
That article would seem to be about a year old........pre-oversleeping his alarm. |

It is it was more for a summary of his talents and shortcomings and we have seen that those continued at training camp. If he can mature a bit and play a team game he can be a player for the isles. The question is, is he another Kabanov? |

Didn't his team last year trade him, and then the coach made a public statement "The team is better without him."? Very rarely see something like that.

To me that screams that that coach is a schmuck. Let's not forget the guy is still 18-19 years old. Maybe they had their differences, but HoSang went on to do well and was praised by his new coach. |

Much... some may differ but if the kid straightens out his ego, he'll be up quicker bc of his skating ability is already NHL ready. That's the one thing MDC has to work on..... |

Agreed the kid can fly and has tons of skill dal colle may be #4 behind barzal beaulillier and ho sang. He's similar to kabanov in the fact that teams passed on him because of perceived attitude problems even though he had skill. |

He's the last player on the ice.......and the first player off. He's the Bizarro John Tavares. |
