Does #8 this year and our next two 1sts get the #2 pick?
- adambuffalo

Ask yourself this.
Would you have done that for our #2 pick (Eichel) last year?
…..Didnt think so.

Pysyk Is so overrated here any package for the fourth overall pick has to include Guile
- GERBE!!!75PTS

The entire Sabre roster is "over-rated" amongst the fan base... with the exception of Sam, Jack and ROR. It's not possible to over-rate them.

Can't use Jack's pick as an example. That pick was as untouchable a #2 as there has EVER been. Use the 2013 or 2014 draft and rethink that.

Tkachuk's a good player, but I'm not willing to part with Guhle just yet, not for him. It may be a stretch but Guhle may very well become our Ghostisbehere. Pysyk, Foligno, Baptiste, Bailey, extra picks, okay make the deal.
- sskkoo1

Agree on Goolie. The kid had a very good show last year in camp and he could be the one. Liking Bailey too, mostly for his wheels right now. God we are slow as a team.

You used to be untouchable but I'd now trade you for a shot and two smokes.

Yes it is, Laine is going 2.

If Matthews is not in thsi draft Laine goes 1.

You are not getting two.

WPG is dying for offensive star power. Laine brings that.

There isn't a chance in hell you get the 4th for 8th, Psysk +. Psysk is not even a second pair D man. The Oilers want a 1 or 2 D not a scrub like Psysk.
- SABRES 89

Maybe, but if they hold 4 then they more or less have to pick a forward to get value...like Tkachuk. Drafting one of the D at 4 would be a mistake for them.
My point is, maybe they would consider that trade.

Yeah…..still a "no" for me.
you can't have it both ways….wanting the second overall pick because he's going to be awesome but then trade a bunch of spare parts or mid round picks for him because he's "unproven."

I will keep saying it: tossing aside Pysyk and Girgs now would be a mistake for 2 reasons.

Now their trade value sucks, and

Most "experts" say the vast majority of good players come from the first 2 rounds of the draft. Getting rid of two former first rounders at the ages of 24 and 22 because they had one crappy year each is not wise, cool, smart, or any other complimentary adjective out there. It is reactionary and short-sighted.
If they have bad camps and get shuffled into the press box this year, then f' them, but I think both will be good for us.

I love ROR, I think he's excellent, but even he is a little over rated. He's a great 2nd liner, one of the best. But people want to put him with the elite centers in the league.
