Ah I follow. Yeah the only benefit for them is Drouin and Bishop with Carle a salary dump. They have a lot of youth in their farm system and they are in a market that doesn't do well with slow rebuilds so I was going that would jump start that rebuild in net and Drouin top line.

If the Leafs would move Drouin/Carle/Bishop to the Leafs for #1 overall and a prospect. Let them go for Stamkos if they want. Bolts sign Hedman, Kuch, Killorn right away with Koekoek in the future, he can easily replace Carle.

Might be worth Leaf's Pittsburgh 27th 1st round draft pick. I would love to be 30 again which isn't old for a goalie.

I agree, 30 is not old and where is Toronto struggling, in net. You can't get great goalies for free and especially if they do the expansion draft. Toronto can't rebuild without a goalie and I don't see any other Vezina finalists available.

I figure Toronto won't get Bishop if they sign Stamkos. Bishop is a great goalie so expect he will attract a lot of attention. Does he have a NMC/NTC in his final year of his current contract?What about Hedman? Would really suck if Stamkos, Hedman or Bishop left without compensation.

Like there entire team, they're going youth. Fredrick Andersen is a better choice for them. Sending Bishop to Dallas could be a far more rewarding proposition. They're far more desperate. They're already in a good place, but lack a REAL goalie. Leafs are still years away from being competitive.

There is a 50/50 chance that Drouin stays. If he does, leave offense as is. If he leaves, then FA is an option.

Stamkos is all but gone. His words say one thing, but his action (or inaction) betray him.

For me, the things I would do is Carle and Nesterov gone. Vlad, DUMPTRUCK, Brown, Marchy, Kuch and Killer resigned. Perhaps trade Bishop (not nessesary). Then add a RHD like Demers.

I'd hate to see him go, got me a 43 jersey before his first season. But I think it's going to be just my luck.

He did show some promise in the playoffs this year, finally starting to use his size, and he's only 21. But as we mentioned prior they've got to do something and you have to give to get.

So what where you guys smoking last night Trade a Vezina caliber goalie and a third overall with Stammer probably leaving. Vasy has been great and still needs a lot of work. He's finally hugging the post but his rebounds and puck handling suck. Yes he's young but he's no Bishop. If Stanmer goes you sign Hedman Bishop and Kuch asap If no draft you let Bish and Vasy stay as 1 1a. I'd rather keep Bish over Vasy. Yes he will be 30 but how long does a window stay open anymore Bish has a good 5 in him. Vasy and no Bish and we have stepped backward with the window. Too many growing pains with him yet to deal with. But whatever you were smoking it must have been good. If Chicsgo can have the contracts for Kane Toews Crawford Keith and Seabrook and play under the cap so can the Bolts with their top players.

Yes because saying we are all on drugs without looking at the numbers. Bishop will get at least 7.5 if not more. I NEVER said trade Drouin, but if he still wants to go WTF can we do? Stamkos is gone that's almost fact now. Bishop is great, but you think of now and not long term. Vasy's only issue is his rebound control, but he's been excellent for us through this round. I don't know if Bishop would've faired any better.
