Not over yet.

Blues are at their best this year with their backs against the wall. Win tomorrow.

Let's Go Blues!

- carcus

Told my brother it would be a total blues move to win game 6

You are right they play their best with their backs against the wall

Acknowledging your shortcomings is the first step to self improvement.

Admit it. You're ranting maniacally...

This series has been a good one & it's far from over. I still expect it to go 7, as the Blues are as resilient as the Sharks have been, but your diatribes are way over the top dude.

He makes fair points

Not sure where you were all weekend? Feel its only fair for you to come and give your opinions after sharks wins?

Thought you wanted a hockey conversation and yet you only show up when your team wins

hmmmmm

How was your nice long weekend of not posting on this blog?
- sycsam

It was awesome. I spent it with my beautiful girlfriend in Las Vegas, even came out $120 ahead on the craps tables. Thanks for asking.

He can make fair points without being so condescending & long-winded, too.

If you want to discuss the Sharks' losses, I can. I have no problem with it.

The last game at the Tank the Sharks were brutal. The Blues were a step ahead of them the whole game... It was tough to watch, man. As far as the penalties called so far in the series, there have been misses on both sides, so I don't think fans of either team have a beef there. There have been punches to heads by both teams that have been let go, & there was a pretty bad boarding call that could've been called on the Blues last night that wasn't, so in that respect, the refs have been pretty even. Hell, even after Hitch tossed the "whining for calls" grenade, the Blues had the majority of the PP's the next game. This series has been pretty damned even so far & it's still anybody's for the taking.

P.S. I hate Troy Brower but I'd love to have that SOB playing in San Jose...

I hate wingels and don't think players like him should be in the league

Ott Wingels Reaves and guys like that need to go away

Wingels is dangerous and should have been given at least a doublie minor and a fighting major last ngiht with Shattenkirk

That being said Sharks took advantage of some breaks Blues didn't

The blues did not take advantage of an obviously rattled Jones

Now it is win or go home for the blues

Unsettled perhaps but not shakey. Rusty to be sure. He was catching up to the flow of the game. I think he was a bit shocked on that first goal and it took him some time to settle down after it. It hit somebody's stick on the way in and just went over his glove. No biggie.

He made some good poke checks.

About midway in the second oeriod the Blues just slowed down. Look if your players can sustain the pace then your are mismanaging your bench or coaching the game with the wrong personel.

The first goal was bad. It was a lazy play in that he wasn't fighting to see the puck and it just clean beat him because of it. Allen had trouble puck tracking and controlling rebounds all game. There were a few times where he was down in the butterfly and had no idea where the puck was. More on this later if I get time before Wednesday. work duties beckon now.

I would say the first and fourth goals were on Allen somewhat

The second and third he had no chance on

I expect to see Ells tomorrow ngiht

He took a horrific angle on the 3rd goal when pushing out that basically gave him no shot at making a save but the team put him in a horrific spot there with really bad decisions by both Parayko and Backes so the probability of a save was low anyway.

4th goal was a brilliant tip but again, puck tracking seemed to be an issue.

That was probably the worst game I have seen parayko play

I might be nit picking but he was out of position all night IMO

I think you definitely get Moose in there for game 6. As others (specifically Jammer) have said, Allen was not tracking the puck well at all. He never seemed to get comfortable.

Backs against the wall and on the road, I really don't think we'll go quietly.

Other thoughts on this game:

Agree Bouwmeester was terrible in this game, as was Shattenkirk and who knows why Petro decided to stand flat footed next to an empty net and allow the Sharks to pull down his pants and take the puck away?? Bizarre.

We should see Elliot the rest of the way now. Jake Allen wasn't very good.

Lost in all this mess was that Martin Jones also wasn't very good. The Blues aren't battling Corey Crawford or Jonathon Quick here.......

I'd seriously consider benching Tarasenko. He was garbage.

Robbi Fabbri, however is a prime time stud.

Blues were a minute and a half from taking the lead into the third period and sixteen seconds into the 3rd were down a goal - wow.

When Pete DeBoer used his time out early in the second period - my message to the Blues players would have been: "Crash the net the rest of the night!!!"

If David Backes doesn't want the money the Blues offer him, Troy Brouwer can be my Captain.

Jammer you hink the officials on this site will toss the trolls finally? Or are the officials like their on ice counter parts?

You got two guys coming on this board breaking the hockey buzz rules and nothing is done about it.

Do you want me to engage? Does this need to go to name calling level?

Do I need to get it on with people from People's Republic of California?

Enjoyable blog for a while there.

This is rust man. It is unfortunate you have no time to shake it off. The first goal got tipped and changes direction a split second barely goes over his glove.

So yeah puck tracking.

The third goal he was frozen because the Sharks kept trying short side on him and for good reason. There was a replay I think of the last game and the way he covers the post looks to a shooter like gold. I wanted to think the same way as you but there is no reason for two Blues okayers to be standing on the side of the net getting mesmerized by thorton. The leave Super Joe wide open in the front of the net, good night.

Fourth goal was agreat tip.

All that said you need the goaltender to better than that ansteal one of those. Allen was below average in net.

Moose will be in again but he was having similar issues. A lot of these issues are Blues defensive break downs. In game one the big save by Elliott on Super Joe was just that he failed to get the puck where he wanted which was under the cross bar.

What an interesting game it was last night. Back and forth, nobody really had control at any point and both teams looked sloppy (tired?). Both goalies were pretty bad also, haven't seen Jones rattled at all this season; bad time to start that bud. Luckily for us you played Allen again and not Ellis.

If the Blues get a couple on Joner early next game it will be an easy win for you guys. Wouldn't recommend letting the Sharks hang around though, for whatever reason we are really good in the 3rd period.

Kirk Muller needs to take Tarasenko aside and tell him, if you really want to have a letter on your jersey one day, you better show up tomorrow night and make something happen. I cannot understand why he is playing with no fire whatsoever.

I have to think they go back to Elliott next game. It's nice to have a puck handler back there but first and foremost you have to stop the puck. Right now I'm more confident in Elliott in that regard.

- fattyboubatty

Not scoring I get but as I said in long rant, all I ever here about is how big his legs are, how big and strong he is. He had one hit early in the game and then for goes any contact. He coats around his own end keading to them being hemmed in on half their shifts. He used to play well in his zone a few years back but now this?

Jaskin has earned his ice time imho. Hell MPS has also earned his ice time. Tarasenko would start on the fourht line. I would only play him on the fourth line because of how dangerous he can be out of no where. But relying on the same old tired moves, ad taking an extra second to decide to shoot because he has no confidence just does not cut it. Where is this huge guy we have been told about?

Jaskin looks more like the player we had hoped he would become. His confidence is back. MPS almost had a goal last night because Jones was terrible, Besides one awesome save in game four he has been unimpressive,

Why the Wingles hate? He does bring the grit & the agita, but he also can score goals...so I think he does have a place in the grinding line ranks.

Ott is more of the Raffi Torres mold (& we all know how well that worked out for the Sharks...)

Wingels is the new Ott in this series - He has made a lot of late and interference type hits (Fabbri, Shattenkirk, just to name a few recent ones).

Aside - Does anyone know what jaskin did to get Polak so riled up? Looked completely one-sided the other way but Polak's post game quote sure seems to suggest that Jaskin did something.

Dude... Please get over yourself. It's a hockey blog site. If you can't handle your team losing games & people talking about that with fans from other teams in your presence, don't watch & don't post, but don't go throwing the "troll" label around by accusing people responding to a thread and that folks are "breaking Hockeybuzz rules" just because you disagree with a point of view from an opposing team's fans.

Are you going to petition Ek or "Jammer" to institute policy that Sharks fans cant post in your precious Blues blog? More like the people's republic of St. Louie, isn't it? Jesus Tap Dancing Christ....

You realize that you invite the harsh responses because your posts are so inane & long winded & egomaniacal, dontcha?

Even Blues fans agree. (See War & Peace post above)

This was a mystery to me too. Maybe Polak thought he was slew-footed or something highly offensive was said, because even aside from the way Polak went at him, when he was being ushered away he seemed much more agitated than he should've been. His head looked like it was about to pop right off his shoulders...
