What would you consider 'elite' - I would still put Hank and possibly Daniel in there as well. If you aren't considered 'elite' when you are consistently in the top 20 scoring then I don't know what elite means - Zogg

Same thing you've been saying for two years now and yet they continue to put up top 20 points |

Could you trade those two elite players for A top 4 pick?
Call them what you want , think of them anyway you want, your choice , but I am not here to debate the Sedins for the 10 000 th time |

Not sure if you are being facetious here or not but I'll take you seriously, yes, you could easily trade them for a top pick.
The Sedins once again (surprise surprise) had no one to play with last year and yet they put up good numbers regardless (in particular Daniel who had great numbers). I think this is the same conversation we had after the Tort fiasco year - you felt the Sedins were finished and I stated that it was simply an anomaly - which it was, as they returned to almost a point per game offense.
I keep reiterating the Sedins are a different breed and have at least a few very good years left, they just desperately need someone to play with |

Beautiful goal Marchand - VANTEL
tough angle
I don't like giving him too much credit, regardless of what Hutton says |

From last thread
Perhaps Toronto just sucked that badly and his level of caring went down significantly. That seems more logical. He is a beast for Pits - Retinalz
Well this regular season was his worst in a long time so not so logical really... |

Would it be worth it for the Canucks to make an offer for Laine similar to what it took for the Leafs to acquire Kessel? |

To me Dubois is still the logical choice. If Chia pet trades down i really hope JB has a back up plan. Or as you suggested, pulls the trigger first and moves up. - VanHockeyGuy
My gut is telling me Dubois will be a bust. Tkachuk is the safer pick and hopefully we get him. If we don't, I wouldn't be opposed to trading down and taking Chychrun or Juollevi. |

Different potential ceilings for sure, Bo could be good/great, Laine could be elite.
JB has to talk to the Jets, but I don't think you move a player like that if you are Winnipeg. - hillbillydeluxe
This could be true. Will Bo be elite? Dale Hunter seems to think so. I have all the Memorical Cup teams at my Arena in Red Deer for practises and had a chance to rap with Dale Hunter a bit. Nothing but the highest of praise for Horvat from Dale Hunter…says he will be a Bergeron-style player with all the benefits. Maybe not quite as good but close. But it will obviously take a few more years for Horvat to fully mature.
With Horvat's upside and our need for what he brings I just can't fathom moving him in a package for Laine. Even if Laine ends up being a 35-40 goal guy…which he most likely will be. |
