Better than Hamilton?

I can counter with 2: Klefbom and Sekeras.

Don't embarrass yourself, spud. As I said, it's arguable at best.

I have a feeling that Hamilton will have a really big year next season, he was really coming into his own near the end (just needs a coach that'll give him the minutes and system needed to really thrive).

Well I doubt we'll ever hear a Flames fan predict one of their players will struggle, so why not?

Not our fault that we have a reason to be a lot more positive about our team than you guys have had in the last 10 years. Under Tambo and MacT, growth wasn't only not expected, it was frowned upon.

I don't see how Klefbom or Sekera are better than Hamilton.
I have a bunch of friends that are Oiler's fans and they all admit they wished the Oilers could have nabbed him and that he would immediately be their best defender

He's the same age as Klefbom and he's already had 2 straight 40+ point seasons....as much as Klefbom looks like he is gonna be a great defensemen, Hamilton has already been doing in

Amongst defensemen in that 22-24 year old range, I think you could easily argue he's one of the best among them...so you list guys like Trouba, Dumba, Barrie, Klefbom, Ekblad....I think the only one that is a homerun winner there is Ekblad. The rest there are definitely pros/cons and different styles of play
But honestly...a 22 year old d-man that scores 42 and 43 points even if he was as much a defensive liability as a player like Subban (which he's NOT) would have him in the conversation amongst those other d-men

I predict Bollig and Smid will struggle to remain in the lineup

Of course the Oilers would have wanted in on Hamilton. That's a no brainer.

yes and I'm saying that I don't think Sekera or Klefbom are better than him...I don't think he slots in as your #3 d-man
