Yeah, sorry about that. A six pack of Miller High Life looked way better than raising you.

Not even mgd? Wow and I didn't think I could feel any lower

Just looking at the list okposo was tied in points and Neilson 5th. I know they aren't going to pay Kyle what he will get on open market but who there is a big upgrade Stamkos aside? Any talent they get is going to involve a trade at least for a legit first line winger

Edit getting Ericsson and losing okposo is a wash still leaves a spot open unless strome or Nelson plays there

Yeah man. Eriksson could be considered a 1st liner I guess. Lucic pretty much already said he is staying. I'm hoping the Rangers take a stab at McGinn.

Seriously, one of our board members is really high on Leon, said he would do McDonagh & Fast for Draisaitl & Yak.. I mean I also think Draisaitl "could" be a very very good player, but no way I'm trading an established 1st pairing d-man at a great contract for potential.

Plus, letting Yandle walk is connected to what the Blueshirts might consider to reshuffle both their forward core and the right side of their defense: Trading Rick Nash and his remaining two years of $7.8 million per to the St. Louis Blues, where his revered former mentor Ken Hitchcock may get a contract extension, in exchange for right-handed puck mover and power play defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.

Shattenkirk, 27, a product of New Rochelle, is believed to want to play for the Rangers one day. His favorite player growing up was Brian Leetch. He is entering the final year of a $4.25 million-per-year-deal, so he will have to be paid soon, but letting Yandle walk and dealing Nash frees space for a young, respected D-man who can power the man advantage.

I just read it is all I can't imagine why but Newsday sees this as a possibility . He kind of just throws it in there w no reasoning other than shattenkirk liked Brian Leitch.

I really could care less about draft right now.
I think snow plan is to trade picks and assets to get someone that will be meaningful for us to win a championship.

We need more than one player and this same problem has been on the table since Vanek walked 3 yrs ago. I still believe there is a stigma about this team throughout the league about the GM & owners- whether deserved or not- that keeps many UFA players(those with options) from signing here. In this respect, it seems that everything Garth does is the equivalant of pissing up a rope. His confidence and support of the coaches only reinforces this belief.

In what has to be the most scathing story Staple has penned to date a out the Isles, he points out a decline in posession numbers & SOG's for the team as well as an increase on shots allowed- this year vs. last. In other words, regardless of winning a playoff series, the team has regressed.

Nash is a salary dump at this point. Yeah he plays some aspects of the game ok but his salary doesn't warrant the kind of player he has become. If it were a half a season or even one season his game took a step back I could understand a team taking a chance but at this point I think the ship has sailed in reference to that line of thinking... He is what he is until he proves otherwise and any GM would be an idiot to take a chance on him imo.

Well he's a salary dump if anyone wants him I always thought he was a perimeter player that came down the wing and ripped a shot from the top of the circle. He's decent on Pk and defensively but that's not why they paid him 7.8 mil. He's like bailey in some regards in that every once in a while he turns it one and you see what he could be all the time. I'm not saying they are equal talent by any stretch but they both disappear out there. His first game back in Columbus he fought and scored and hit and played with an edge that youd like to see from him all the time. He is the Rangers a-rod

The NY Islanders have traded Ryan Strome, Calvin deHann, Michael Dal Cole and this years first round draft pick to Washington for Alex Ovechkin.

They say that every year and nothing happens just like they say the same thing a month before the trade deadline. What they hope will happen and what actually happens are two different things.

I mean...the article did point to them saying basically the same thing just prior to June 2015 and then:

Between that point in time and the opening of free agency, players traded included Robin Lehner, Dougie Hamilton, Milan Lucic, Ryan O’Reilly, Eddie Lack, Carl Hagelin, Cam Talbot, Martin Jones, and Brandon Saad.

That's a list of relatively big names to be moved.

I'm inclined to agree that it's, likely, going to be a wild June because of the cap and the looming expansion draft.
