Underrated LP. Side Two is flipping awesome...but then again, their first seven studio LPs are unreal. ...and they are still going strong!! - clintyboy
Right there w you, Somewhere is my 2nd favorite just behind Piece of Mind. I had all the shirts as a kid 20-25 years ago, sadly they either don't fit or lost a lot of them.

Wow. I have such a special place for all of their first six. I really like 'Seventh Son...', but that was almost the beginning of their SLIGHT downturn. It's really difficult to say which of them is my favourite. The first and 'Killers' are up there, but 'Piece of' and 'Powerslave' are Bruce era pinnacles. It all depends what/how I'm feeling. Saw the World Slavery Tour in '85...those were fun times!

The downturn began when Adrian Smith left before No Prayer...album. He was quietly a very important member of the band & the best guitarist they ever had. I can still get into 90s Maiden, but not close to the 80s material.

He'd DEFINITELY at least place right up there!! - clintyboy
Last Maiden comment, gotta get outta here anyway, 86-87 era was a great tour, set list, but NO professional footage, just bootlegs like this one, maybe the best quality from that tour, sadly. Whole show here, starts closer to 3 min mark after intro. Peace brother...

You said it regarding A.S. I LOVE Dave Murray (his leads are liquid and fast). Smith's jagged blues phrasing perfectly foiled Murray's style...PERFECTLY. I stopped buying their stuff right around 'Fear of the Dark'. The 80's stuff IS Iron Maiden. I'm not familiar at all with their "newer" material - meaning after 'FOTD'. Lol.

No, I remember that telecast. He said "I have more Stanley Cups/Gold Medals/Vezina and Jennings Awards than all Ranger goalies combined for the past 50 years"

There's talk of Boulton being in the booth I think he'd be great on the ice like rob ray - Upstate_isles
Holy crap...does the Islanders organization promote that if you work for us, you'll have a job for life??? Will Boulton eventually empty & fill water bottles and mop the locker rooms?

Great play by play man. I live in Detroit and with the NHL tv pkg, sometimes I will watch an Isles game. And even with the choice of what coverage you can watch, it's a no brainer. You watch the Isles just to listen to Howie call the game. He's that good.

Thank you. Howie is articulate and knowledgeable. Some won't appreciate him until his replacement shows up.
I'm thinking Shannon Hogan is due for a promotion....
