So to shift the discussion a bit here.
What are everyone's thought on Malkin with Sid? Full time or mixing him in like the past 2 games.

They have looked dominant when out together, but I still think there is benefit in keeping them separate. Having a player like Sid and Geno on the ice has to always be in the backs of the opponents head, one mistake and it could go real bad. That's got to be taxing emotionally for opponents.

Funny how the teams are playing Seek and Destroy, Walk and other great heavy songs and the NHL gets the weakest musical guests ever for their all star and outdoor events.

I dont think Kunitz is near as bad as most around here think. I also think we'll see a little resurgence from him now he's back on Sid's line. In 4 periods together he already has a goal. The guy still hits hard and wins battles and he still has a decent speed. His hands are bit stone'ish some games but even if he's not producing he's never a liability. I know someone is going to bring up the other night when he fanned on a shot and they went the other way in scored but he's far from the only reason they scored fanning on a shot in the offensively zone.

Kunitz hits hard. Thats tough for opponents defenders to have to absorb hits from him and try to maintain control of the puck with Crosby in the vicinity. He and Sid are so good at keeping that puck alive along the boards, Hornqvist is a nice compliment to them, but Kunitz is the key.

I like it how they've done it so far which is here and there. I dont want it full time. I think It throws the opposition off even
more not knowing when it's going to happen. I think they've looked really good together the past few games but I like them having their own lines at times too.

Ya I mean he shouldn't get much attention on a line with Malkin and Crosby. Just needs to hit retrieve and tap in.

Personally if Horn is healthy I like sticking with

Kun - Crosby - Horn
HBK
Malkin spare parts
Cullen line

I mean we still dominated in shot attempts lately so I think Malkin even if he doesn't have finishers is driving possession. Then give Malkin 5 min a game with Crosby/Horn.

Ride lines 1 and 2 18-20 minutes a game. Cullen line 15 minutes. Malkin line occassionally, but shift him up and down to get his minutes.

That is fine. Personally, if we are fortunate to advance, I much would rather the Pens play SJ than STL. IMO, its a much better matchup.

I think whomever gets out of the East are going to give the West fits. The speed of the ECF is insane.

This playoff thing really puts a damper on my beauty rest. I'm def not made to stay up past 930 every other night.

It's a better matchup for sure but I'm a superstitious guy when it comes to sports and the Sharks are a team of destiny this season. Much more so than this season. The more they play the more they terrify me. Jumbo is demanding the cup right now and Pavs is willing it into existence.

So Zack Kassian inked a deal with the Oilers bellow his QO, so yes players do do this. Still calling 2-2.5 mil for two years for Schultz.

Are there any third party payments in the NHL? If so are they counted in anyway on the teams cap?
