I was just thinking, (rare moment), Hockey Canada selected Reilly over Dion.

No Olympics, no World cup, no Stanley Cup, yeah, he sucks.

We could they have traded Bernier?

I thought the new motto in here was "in Lou we Trust" then I see guys this morning still chirping about the fans that wanted Kessel gone.

I don't know what you said there, but i think the could have traded him before they signed him to that contract.
He did play half decent the first couple of years.
But then again maybe every GM sees him the way i do, the second coming of Raycroft.

Lot of conspiracy theories and crazy talk in here tonight. I'll try to provide a little good news from some grade 8 kids.

Backstory my son had a birth defect that was supposed to prevent him from ever walking. He had a surgery done before he was born that allows him to walk and run. He doesn't do either well but he's a trooper and has the heart of a lion.

Today was track and field day at the public school and when I got home he was wearing a first place ribbon proud as a freaking peacock. He got it from the 100 yard dash and he was fully aware that the other kids purposely sandbagged it so he could win as he over heard them whispering. I asked him if it bothered him that they let him win his response was, if they think enough of me to let me win a race I'll think enough of them to wear this proudly.

When it was presented I guess he got a standing O. Pretty cool group of kids.

How many games? And now the lucky (frank)er gets to attack playing 3rd line and pp with Sid and Geno.
- Garnie

Can we please stop with this absurd 3rd line winger crap?

He's 2nd in toi/g for Pittsburgh forwards in the playoffs, and 5th in estoi/g.

He's the leading scorer on the team. The notion that opposition coaches aren't aware of this when matchine lines is redonkulous.

Oh wait, Bozak as his chef and butler for years.

Exactly. Bernier is/was untradeable. I imagine Bozak was as well (gotta think they've tried). JVR will most likely be traded in the future. That's why they had to trade Phil. Plus, I don't want to imagine what a 30 year old Phil would look like

You're crazy if you think they are keying on Phils line and not Sid and Malkin

Plus he gets pp time with both of them....Kessels a great player....just making it a little easier for him IMO
