Anyone else see Hornqvist shove the equipment manager out of the way when he was going to the dressing room?

Then they traded the 60-70 point centre he played with

oh right...forgot that part too
Columbus went from a really good story...to a dumpster fire quickly

We saw it with the Leafs..several big blunders in a row can sink a team

You can avoid the loss of one of the d prospects by making the room on the left side with a trade.

Winnipeg snatching up the 2nd overall is an opertunity the leafs can't pass up. Trading that pick away would require all the right positional players in return for one of those highly coveted fins. The jets have LHD needs and a particular righty who needs to get paid above his position in the depth chart.

Gardiner and JVR for 2nd overall, Trouba and one goalie prospect (Hellebuyck or Comrie)

Both teams get what the need to match there compeditive window. Jets receive 2 impact players in signifgent positions for amazing term and price. Toronto gets to ice Liane-Matthews-Marner backed by Reilly-Trouba for the foreseeable future. Toront might need to sweeten the pot with a pick but this is a sesable blockbuster/hockey trade worth mulling over.

I find it weird how I was pretty much the original Bernier hater yet I'm the one saying they should keep him for another year.

- daeth

I don't think they have much choice, I think he has a much better year myself.

Put him in and it will almost guarantee another lottery pick (who knows if we win it again maybe we can piss off Oiler fans) - he'll be sure to let in a bunch of first three minute softies that totally demoralize the team. I say witness protection program with Robidas for Bernier.

I'm not 100% sure, but after Laine scored I saw Mike Babcock pick up his cell and mouth the words, "Lou, we're drafting Laine." I think.

I wouldn't trade Matthews for OEL and Strome but the Leafs should totally trade Gardiner and scraps for the 2nd overall. Seems fair.

A little Toronto focused, the peg walk away with

Wheeler-scheifele-ehlers
JVR-little-conner

Buff-gardiner
Enstrum- Meyers

That's a compeditive core at a relative bargain.

So I finally watched the video of Trudeau in the HoC.

What a franking embarrassment. FFS, has NDP MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau never been on the subway before?

It's franking weak that he apologized.

He should have mocked the NDP until they admitted they were blowing this thing out of proportion (yeah, I know, they never would have).

Charles Sumner this ain't.
