Congrats, and best of luck. Really excited to see Cal Petersen in a Sabres uniform one day. I know goalies are hard to judge early in their careers but he really looks like he could be something special. - doppelthat
Peterson's a (frank)ing stud. Blessed to have him follow Summerhayes who was extremely good at the college level. Bad goaltending can sink an otherwise talented team. Don't you guys have another prospect playing under Jackson over here, or am I imagining things? |

if you are referring to the pass directly to open ice and a lightning player, Schultz took off for a reverse breakout and Cole didn't read the play... That's on both of them but I attribute you to lack of time playing together. Overall his game has been a plus since taking over for Maatta. - hipcheck_goalie
i do think the current form of maatta would have beat eaten alive out there tonight. |

to be honest, there was one play in front of the net that i dont know if it was schultz or cole. but there was an awful turnover at point blank.
i may be unfairly attributing it to schultz.
im with you with him as far as the PP is concerned though. you can see the instincts. and the shot. hard. often. on net. simple, good, fast decisions. - stayinthefnnet
It was Cole.....pretty sure. |

The one where it was ripped straight up the center of the ice but directly to a Tampa forechecker? That was Cole, but NBC kept saying it was Schultz. First angle looked like Schultz but on reverse angle, it was definitely Cole. |

Actually Stralman was one of their best players in Game 2 I thought. - Victoro311
He was a mixed bag IMO. Yep, he scored a goal like he usually does versus us, but he looked like he had missed a lot of hockey before game 2. |

What a performance tonight! This team is just continuing on their trajectory. I say trajectory because I think there is something still to be seen, once Malkin and Crosby actually take over a game or the depth guys get a couple goals, were gonna see 5-1 or 6-2 scores possibly like we were seeing towards the end of the season!
Phil Kessel was awesome! That interview though . . . I think Pierre is the only one who can get away with literally questioning his conditioning. |

If he continues like this and the Pens win, he deserves one and a Conn Smythe to go with it. |

Great result. Looked like plenty of chances for both teams. How was the game??
Were they as dominant as the score suggests???
Big game next for both teams! (aren't they all this time of year??) |

More dominant than the score suggested actually. Could have easily won that game by six goals if it weren't for Vasi |

Well as I suggested yesterday, would they think about keeping him playing over Bishop? Also, could this onslaught of sog continue & possibly crack Vasi??? |
