Man I hope it's not Chris King. That guys call when they score is total dogsh!t. He sounds like a prepubescent boy.
I wish I could watch games with just the ambient arena nose and nobody calling it. All announcers suck donkey ass. - eichiefs9
Every once in a while the NBA Channel with televise a game with just NAT sound. No announcers just mic's on the court and it was awesome. I wish you get that option for any game in any sport. |

Rather not have Chris King take over. Not that I listen on the radio, but I thought they were going to be on a professional radio station now? |

"So before we move on and wonder who will have the arduous task of filling Howie's shoes, let's pause to say thanks. For 21 years of memories, some seasons of which he was the only thing this organization had going for it. " - Upstate_isles
That's a bit aggressive... had Season tix for most of those years. there was always a reason to see them play... whether a young kid that dope Milbury traded or a guy who gave 100% every night on a subpar team like Kenny Johnson.
I agree with the sentiment of thanking Howie for 21 years |

Jmo, what was the info on Ho-Sang you were holding back until the end of the season? - David_Volek
He has desire to persue a career as a musician, like his father. Doesn't want a career stuck in the AHL. So, if he doesnt make it to the NHL soon he may walk away. Kinda shows where a kid's head is at.....thinks life would be over at 23 or 24 yrs old. Explains a bit about his personality, too. Kid grew up a comfortable life.
This came first hand to me, from a friend present in the conversation. |

I want Chris King. He deserves it for all the time he spent doing the radio. All those horrific years he was doing the Blue-line Bar and grill post wrap up. He had hundreds of idiots do deal with for all of those whether they won or lost. He did a great job for a long time. Then after all that they slap him on Hofstra radio with some kid and he doesn't bat an eye. He earned his chance at this spot and it would be a crime to give it to anyone else. ... His voice is fine. |

Not for a few years now.. He used to without a doubt but I think Butch does a decent job. At least compared to what he Used to do 10 years ago. He has grown on me a lot. He also points out some of the obvious things Cap seems to miss game in and game out. - niteislander
Love Butchie. Not complaining about him. He's our very own Don Cherry minus the horrible watdrobe. A former player with a heck of a career- unlike most commentators. |
